The breads are not heavy and they do not have all the filler that grocery stores have. The breads are all light and flakey. The asiago bagels are amazing!!! The smash burgers are the best around. “Cafe Dodie quickly became my favorite local coffee shop after my first visit and my love for this place has only grown. The atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming. The staff are kind and their service is outstanding. The drinks never disappoint, and the constant rotation of flavors keeps me excited and coming back for more (though I’d still come back even if it was the same few drinks). Lydia and Troy have truly created something special here. Their love for others is so evident in the intentionality of Cafe Dodie. Everything they do embodies their phrase, showing us that we are “well loved.””

“As fairly new residents of Johnstown, we found out about Scott's by Dam through co-workers who raved about the food. They were right. Everything we had was great. The menu has a lot to offer. The place isn't big by any stretch of the imagination but as soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted like old friends by Scott. He came by our table to check on us several times during our meal and cracked some jokes and interacted with all of his customers. What was especially endearing was the way he interacted with a mom and her young daughter who came in to pickup an order to go. They were obviously regulars and Scott leaned down and handed the little girl a bag of potato chips and she lit up. Scott and his wife are huge supporters of the Johnstown Tomahawks so it's nice to have a local family owned business that cares about the community. We will definitely be back!”

“Everything at Sal's is always delicious and the prices are always great. Been getting pizza here for several years now and recently tried the deep dish Sicilian pizza and the mild wings. The deep dish pizza was very good and the mild wings were some of the best that I ever had!! My only mistake was not ordering more than a dozen!! Thanks for the delicious food!!!”

“Everyone should have a coffee spot...and this is a honey! Good location, looks out across Gazebo Park. Eclectic vibe, vintage typewriter motif is FUN! Baristas are creative AND friendly whatta combo. They brew a lovely cuppa as well Friendly fellow coffee-niks not intrusive...had a chat then settled in to read a bit. Lots of room to work in the back. Menu varies so it's always interesting. Try it...you'll like it ?”

“My go to for new places is always a chicken salad sandwich, and I must say I give the flood city cafe the credit for having the best. The sandwich tasted homemade and the croissant was beyond crispy but also the right amount of fresh. The macaroni could use more cheese but also tasted very fresh and homemade. Lastly the ice coffee we got was a 10/10. I’ve tried a lot of coffee and yet again, this coffee would probably be one of my favorites I’ve ever tried. Definitely recommend stopping by. Great energy from staff and beautiful cafe.”

“Wow! What a wonderful restaurant! I live in Atlanta and it can be hard to find a great Jamaican restaurant in my town of 9 million. But, look no further Johnstown residents! I could not decide between the j*** chicken and the oxtails. So, I got both! Each one was fall off the bone tender and the juices soaked up the rice.And, the collards and the cabbage are outstanding. I am not sure what the secret ingredient is in each vegetable, but they are very tasty.I will try a vegetable plate next time as I will try the other vegetables too.This is a very welcome addition to the community. I would definitely recommend Island Cuisine Restaurant.Vegetarian options: Very full of flavor!”

“The food and beer were so very delicious! I had the 3600 IPA, Hazy River IPA, Main Squeeze IPA, crab rangoon nachos, and veggie ramen. All were awesome. The atmosphere was great and it was an overall great experience. The environment was not as intimate and claustrophobic as you might expect from looking at the pictures. Incredible food menu. I appreciate so much when waiters leave me alone and let me drink and chill in peace without me feeling rushed! I was there for probably 3 hours, so I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for a place to chill a few hours. I would love to come back and try more food on their menu”

“The Craft section is the smaller side, it's the bar side.....but the food is excellent and I like that there is outside seating in the summer. We had great service when there was a misunderstanding with our seating arrangement, they were very accommodating. I will go there to eat again.”

“As far as cool locations go, this is probably THE COOLEST locale i have ever seen. Beautiful giant windows looking out over the city of Johnstown, which is actually very green, leafy and a bit gritty (in a good way) all at the same time. They have a great bar, there was live music last night in the bar, and it sounded fantastic. Our server was Jane, and she was a very good sport (obnoxious brother with us), and a VERY good server. Drinks came out promptly, and were made perfectly by a bartender who knows his craft...our food was delicious, you sometimes worry you are trading breathtaking views for mediocre food, but that is NOT the case at Asiagos. From the salads, to the pasta, everything was top notch. Westmont (where our party all hail from but now live elsewhere) is LUCKY to have this charming establishment and i hope its there for a long long time so we an enjoy a great meal whenever we come home to visit.”

“The Steakhouse Special is phenomenal. Cooked to order, the 16-ounce carnivore's delight is truly special. I enjoyed the chicken and dumplings soup as a starter, then followed that with a great salad with a feta dressing. Onion rings were better than average, and the twice baked potato wasn't embarrassed to accompany the juicy steak. I will return and strongly suggest you make a visit when in the area.”

“My fiancé and I get takeout from this Five Guys location all the time. Food is always prepared well and order is never wrong. Everybody is very polite and our pickup is always fast and easy. Also, if you have never had a Five Guys burger before, I highly recommend. It is worth the price.”
