service was slow and waitress wasn't very attentive.
We had a party of 6. Our food came out. My 9 year olds Philly Steak she ordered with no mushroom came out extremely burnt. Sent it back. Finally came out about 20 minutes later after everyone else was done eating. It looked amazing, but was made with mushroom and my daughter could not eat it. I said I am not paying for it and we don't have time to wait another 20 minutes for another one plus time for her to eat it. The Corner Coffee Shoppe is a hidden gem with a surprisingly huge interior. The food is always fantastic, with superb breakfast, super tasty meatloaf, and delicious ham pot pie. The Reuben and 'house' chips are really wonderful. Portion sizes are huge and it offers extremely good value compared to other local restaurants.
Service experiences vary. Many reviews highlight great, attentive service where staff are super friendly and management checks on guests. However, other visits report lousy service, with long waits for orders, cold food, missing items like applesauce, and general inattentiveness.
The restaurant is clean and the owner is visibly involved. While the location in a fading shopping center is not highly visible, many customers are excited to return and try other menu items, hoping the business continues to survive.
