Stopped in for quick lunch. Got one taco and am sad it’s gone. I should have ordered three at least. The taco shell was simply amazing and fresh. I’m goin for the taco salad tomorrow!!!!
I lived in Colorado for half a decade, with some of the greatest Mexican food in the country. When I moved to the Philly burbs, I thought my days with accessible, delicious, authentic tacos were over. I was wrong! El Gordo Bros is EXCEPTIONAL, authentic Mexican food. Fresh, homemade spicy salsas. Flavorful meat. Grilled tortillas. The Al Pastor street tacos are my recommendation. I will be back, many times! Can’t wait to sample more of the menu.
So incredible I forgot to take a picture! I ordered lunch for a coworker and I and it was plentiful and delicious!

El Gordo Bros Mexican Food is a hidden gem offering delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine at great prices. Popular dishes include elote, guacamole, horchata, and the chicken Gordo Burrito, which customers find to be very tasty. The restaurant is known for its fast and friendly service, making it a great spot for a satisfying meal. Despite being located in a Pantry Food Mart, the food feels authentic and freshly prepared. The staff manages a constant flow of orders, including phone calls, walk-ins, and online pickups, especially during busy lunch hours. The Baja tacos, with options like seafood and shrimp, are highly recommended and enjoyed by many. There are also vegetarian options and a kid-friendly menu with simple Mexican offerings. Presentation and freshness are appreciated, though some find the flavor a bit bland and suggest that more seasoning could improve the taste. Overall, El Gordo Bros Mexican Food provides quick, fresh, and authentic Mexican dishes in a welcoming environment.
