“Went last night with two friends for my birthday! I think our chef said his name was Gino! He was great and our waitress and the food was great! My only complaint was that the music was blaring so, we couldn't hear what anyone was saying and we really could even talk to each other!!! It took away from the experience since our chef was saying things that we couldn't hear. I did ask three different staff members if they could lower it to no avail. We don't think we will go back there again! We had to keep asking our waitress to repeat herself and that got to be exhsusting😣“

“Such a nice place, my friend loves this place and wanted to show us and wow I am so glad she did. I ordered the shoyu ramen and it was absolutely amazing!! They have so many options in the menu it took us a while to decide. Our server was so nice, she remembers her regulars and was very attentive to our table and making sure we enjoyed our meal! Inside was super cute, great spot for lunch/ dinner. (I also have a peanut, tree nut, and shellfish allergy which they were able to accommodate :) )“

The sushi was incredibly fresh, with a fantastic selection of both cooked and raw rolls, as well as delicious sashimi. The service was wonderful, making the experience even better. They were a bit understaffed when we went so there was a bit of a wait on food or getting the check but nothing the staff could have done about it with 1 server and the sushi chef covering as a second. I hope they can find someone to fill in because the food is worth coming back for. Prices are a little on the high side but you won't find Korean food like this around here anywhere else. Definitely recommend giving them a shot, just probably best if you're not in a rush to get somewhere afterwards.“

“First off, let me just this was the best server/host I have had pleasure to meet in all my life. She seemed to be higher up in the ranks (her name is Susan maybe?), and she is a wonderful, honest woman and an overall pleasure to converse with. It is a very cozy, traditional style place in terms of aesthetics. The sushi is really delectable too, the fish is high quality. The desserts were delicious as well. Will be sure to come back soon!“

The sushi is so beautifully cut and made with the best ingredients. I have a gluten issues, their gluten-free temperature is the best, so crispy, not greasy, and perfectly cooked. Umami is a perfect blend in everything we have eaten.“

“The wife and I ordered from here tonight. the indoor atmosphere is for cozy and definitely family friendly. The guy that helped us was very friendly. “This is a hidden gem for those that appreciate Asian or Japanese inspired dishes. I'm on a low carb diet and ordered a bowl without rice. The friendly employee suggested placing the meal on a salad and it was terrific. I will definitely be back for more! The prices are a bit more economical than typical sushi or hibachi restaurants. “Stopped here while out shopping with my daughter. We were pleasantly surprised at the amount of food in the bento box and everything tasted delicious. Unfortunately, we don't live nearby, almost 2 hours, but we will be making a trip in the future to eat here again it was that good!“

“The food is clean and has flavor but most of the time it gets too you 10-20 minutes earlier than when they tell you and your veggies are not cooked all the way through. As you eat you are crunching away on all the veggies. You need to take the time and cook everything and not worry about the time it gets to the person that orders. All in all a nice/clean spot.“

“Was lucky enough to snag a seat at the brand new bar last night for their grand reopening. Really love what they did with the space and truly excited for the addition of the bar so that we can enjoy their great custom cocktails with newtown's best sushi. The food is obviously still on point but beware of their penicillin drink! With their in-house pressed ginger and bitters, holy crap they are dangerously delicious! Love the upgraded esthetic and vibe at Oishi! Oh and lastly i love that they brought over some of the korean menu items like boa buns and crispy korean fried chicken from their other spot Omiza ?
