In the fall for whatever reason I'm drawn to historic taverns with old furnishings and fireplaces. And on a chilly first day of fall we stopped in to the Langhorne Hotel. It was a soup and sandwich kind of day. The lobster crab bisque was delicious as was the French onion, followed by an open face roast beef covered in gravy. A great way to kick off my favorite season of the year.
The service was exceptional.Food was good but honestly… have not had this type of service in quite some time. Hostess … very friendly, and waitress was very knowledgeable about many of the menu items…including local favorites and get this….how food was prepared! Ya don’t see that too often now days.The hotel was built in 1704 ..So ….there is some historical value and historical charm throughout the building.Marinara sauce on the mussels was very good.Potato skins -good...read full review

I went here for a dinner/holiday celebration with a large group, and we had a wonderful experience. They waited patiently for everyone to arrive and timed our food so each of our two tables received our food at the same time. The food was all delicious.
