I grew up downwind from this farm and still cherish everything it offers. The ice cream and simple family farm exposure can’t be beat. In fact, my parents deliver 2 gallons of milk each week to my house in Philadelphia so my daughter can enjoy it!
I don't understand the tip cup. You are hired to scoop ice cream or ring up fruits and vegetables and flowers, but there is a tip cup for me to tip you for doing your job. Why? If I have to pay you to receive good service then I won't shop here to pay sky high prices for ice cream and a plant. Service was horrible. Ice cream ok. Guess wanting me to support your local business has no meaning to this place.
Merrymead is a lovely place to visit. There is a small shop for merchandise and another for groceries. They have a bakery and ice cream. Kids can visit the animals and there are often on site events. Things can be a bit overpriced and I was disappointed to see all the additives to their ice cream. Otherwise, a great experience and I’d recommend a visit.
