“First time at this location and it didn't disappoint! Food was delicious, staff was very friendly. The only thing I would say that I wish was done differently was that my salad was brought out prior to my actual meal. Other than that I would highly recommend eating here.“

“5-bone babyback ribs and side salad. Ribs and cornbread very good. I liked having 6 bbq sauces on the table to choose from. The side salad was fresh, but not worth $4, and was difficult to mix in compact rectangular bowl. Order at counter (and that's where the plastic silverware is). Server checked in regularly in dining room to make sure all was good.“

“Jumped off of I-78 in Hamburg and was looking for a decent place to eat. Lots of fast food joints (Micky D's, Wendy's, etc.) stuff we are not really into. Also now a days you can come out of Mickey D's with no change to your $50. Googled Backwoods Bros and decided to take a chance being as it was a little out of the way and off of the main drag. It's really a plain Jane looking place, but don't let that fool you. Food and service is a 10 out of 10. My wife, myself and grandson all went for the pull pork sandwich. A first for our grandson and he loved it. My wife and I like to think of ourselves as pulled pork connoisseurs and we were not disappointed. Great sandwich that was overflowing with pork. Three different BBQ sauces provided with the meal. One cool thing, which I should have taken a picture of, is the cups our drinks came in had inspirational sayings written on them by the owner. Cool beans. Service was impeccable and talked with the owner for a bit. Really felt comfortable eating there. A family owned restaurant...something that is disappearing from the American landscape as fast food garbage crowds them out. Go while you can and enjoy food that tastes special.PS...they make their own BBQ sauces in house. The Honey BBQ one is damn good and we bought a bottle to bring back home with us.“

“I live locally to this place and decided to check it out. It’s a welcoming place that is off the road near an active railroad. They have two bars 1 in front and another on the side of building with outside patio plenty of space to park. When it comes to space they have it. Food selection is good haven’t had issues there. Staff seems to be friendly and helpful. Great place for a family to go or even a group of friends. I don’t see this being an age group place because everyone all ages go there.Parking: Plenty of parking freeKid-friendliness: Absolutely“

“Was only there for a bout an hour. But in that hour shot several games of pool. Didn't know anyone from previous visits but was treated as a reg by pretty much everyone. Bathroom sizes are another issue. Especially for the woman.Wheelchair accessibility: There are 2 entrances the front entrance on Kutztown rd and the back entrance from the parking lot. If in a wheelchair it would be easier on the person I. The wheelchair to come in the back no steps. The front door still, still accessible, does have 1 step.“

“Are you looking for a smokey scent ruminating throughout the food parlor? The sound of rumbling stomachs tantalizing the ear drums of hungry patrons? Then Smokey Bones would be a safe option. The wings were exquisite, the double burger was juicy yet somewhat bland. I’m sure this is to encourage the use of their 4 seasoned bar-b-q sauces ready table side. I do recommend taking a date if you’re looking to get a little messy.“
