“Went last night with two friends for my birthday! I think our chef said his name was Gino! He was great and our waitress and the food was great! My only complaint was that the music was blaring so, we couldn't hear what anyone was saying and we really could even talk to each other!!! It took away from the experience since our chef was saying things that we couldn't hear. I did ask three different staff members if they could lower it to no avail. We don't think we will go back there again! We had to keep asking our waitress to repeat herself and that got to be exhsusting😣“

They have so many options in the menu it took us a while to decide. Our server was so nice, she remembers her regulars and was very attentive to our table and making sure we enjoyed our meal! We now live 1 hour 30 minutes away, and we still come here as often as possible because no other place makes food like them. If you had a bad experience, you were just having a bad day. “Was lucky enough to snag a seat at the brand new bar last night for their grand reopening. Really love what they did with the space and truly excited for the addition of the bar so that we can enjoy their great custom cocktails with newtown's best sushi. The food is obviously still on point but beware of their penicillin drink! With their in-house pressed ginger and bitters, holy crap they are dangerously delicious! Love the upgraded esthetic and vibe at Oishi! Oh and lastly i love that they brought over some of the korean menu items like boa buns and crispy korean fried chicken from their other spot Omiza ?
