“I went Friday the 6th to celebrate my friend turning 18. Not my usual scene but the food was amazing. We all got different types of dishes and the adults loved their drinks. I got sushi and it was out of this world. The music was a little loud for my taste but still enjoyable. Kirsy was our server, she was excellent. She was so sweet and attendant to our party of 7. Even the bathrooms were clean and adorable!! If you're looking for a fun night out with good music and even better food and service, this is definitely the place to go.“

“The food here is absolutely worthy of a Michelin star. Everything was fresh, unique, explained well, and, most importantly, delicious! I love how they’d rather you be comfortable eating than for you to pretend like you know what you’re doing. Everyone is treated equally here whether you’ve tasted ponzu sauce or not. They will explain what you’re eating and how to eat each course. I recommend this place for people who don’t mind spending on quality and who have a pallet sensitive enough to appreciate refined Japanese cuisine. I removed a star from their service because apparently they do something nice for people on their birthdays, and we were skipped, although it was noted in our reservation. Recommend pairing sake and whiskey to go with the Wagyu. You won’t regret it! Also, go check out the bathroom while you’re there! They really brought the best parts of Japan to Philly!“

Today was extra special, because I literally had the best waiter I’ve had at any restaurant I’ve been to. Your waiter Nick deserves a lot of praise and credit for his work ethic and manners. “If it’s your first omakase experience then you’ll like it. If you’ve had more expensive omakase before, then this one doesn’t really have the same experience factor. The quality of the fish was good but it was fast(less than 1h) and felt rushed. The sushi chef didn’t really explain anything other than state the obvious name of the fish. But it’s good for the price.“

“sitting here waiting for my first order so i figured i'd give some feedback about the menu- specifically regarding the gluten free subject. let me just say- very unclear. so many things i'm interested in ordering but don't know if they are gluten free or not- for ex, wanted to order the poke bowl- says gluten free option. when went to add ingredients doesn't specify which are gluten free or not- like sauces & the marinades & a lot of seaweed salad isn't gf so etc. is like this for a lot of menu items not just poke. a lot of menu items you have to click on each one to see if it's gluten free as opposed to viewing all gf options at once as well. basically, it's not really worth the trouble if you're gluten free to come here unless you find your go-tos. this would be easier if you could heart your favorites so you could be prepared instead of having to look through everything every time. still need to work out a few kinks here to make this a lasting business imo, but cool idea. hope the co is willing to work on improvements. (giving food all stars for now but haven't tried it yet)“

“Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. We will definitely be back many times. Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“Tucked away in a small shopping center, very easy to overlook, sits a gem of a restaurant. They have multiple cuisines to choose from, Japanese, Chinese, and Thai. The footprint of the restaurant is small, but it is so thoughtfully arranged and decorated. I wish I had found this place sooner and will definitely continue to visit.“

“Had dinner there last night was so disappointed that they no longer doing the hibachi cooking at your table…over all meal was good (shrimp fried rice was very good) …our server Nicole was gracious & very attentive…would go back but would try something different…“

“I ordered take out. I was super hungry and I was hopeful that this would be perfect to curb my appetite. When my food arrived, I was disappointed by the portion size (6 pieces) and filling (very little fish) of the Philly Roll. I tried to include better photos but my app timed out while attending to the kiddos. womp womp. I really enjoyed the Pork Dumpling (6) but was slightly uncomfortable with the presentation/packaging; the dumplings were sitting on a paper doily soaking up the condensation which can be both off putting and beneficial. The Exotic Bomba was delicious and perfect for sharing (says 6 servings but I would say about 2, maybe 3). The flavor of these thing were great but there could have been improvements to this order.

“Was here recently for a colleague’s birthday party. They rented a private room with food + bottle service. Off street parking was definitely a huge plus. The staff was very attentive, and the overall atmosphere of the place seemed pretty chill. My only critique is the karaoke interface is not very intuitive, and the selection for ACTUAL karaoke/instrumental tracks are very limited because they only use Spotify for the music. It’s more like a sing-along than karaoke. I would suggest using youtube instead of spotify because YouTube’s selection of music for karaoke is far superior. Other than that, the place is great!“

“It was my first time here, and I loved everything I had to eat that I ate. I was so full I did leave a little bit of food. I generally don't like to waste anything but was very little left really no reason to take home. There is a lot of variety and selection to try. The staff were very polite and very nice and felt like a friendly environment it was an enjoyable, pleasant experience. The food was absolutely delicious. There’s such a great variety on the menu, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell they really value both quality and the overall experience.
