“The food??? AMAZING!! The chicken wings got so much flavor and the rice is perfectly seasoned not too much not too little. Now my favorite thing??? That shrimp tempura poke bowl is AMAZINGGG. I literally will gladly take that 16 minute drive any day. Edit: ordered again today, got the same bowl but with brown rice due to diabetes, was SUPER GOOD. Will never complain !“

“I had the opportunity to visit Uchi Philadelphia and decided to try the tasting menu. The food was exceptional, but I’ve always believed that great food tastes even better when it’s served by people who genuinely care—and tonight was a perfect example of that.

Our server, Bre, was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without ever being intrusive, she made the entire experience feel personal and effortless. Every course was explained with enthusiasm, and her positive energy elevated an already incredible meal.

A special shout-out as well to the managers, Kinsey and Ashlyn. It’s easy to see that they have built a culture where hospitality comes first. When the leadership sets the right example, it shows in every interaction with the guests.

The tasting menu was outstanding, but what I’ll remember most is how the team made us feel. That’s the difference between a great restaurant and a truly memorable dining experience.

“Ordered five different rolls alongside an avocado salad. My girlfriend praised the salad, saying it was one of the best she's ever had. I was the one mainly eating the rolls, and I've got to say that the fish tasted very fresh and of high quality. Great food and service. Highly recommend!“

“My partner and I’s favorite sushi spot, and seems like it’s not as well known yet so makes for an easy to talk date night. (It definitely deserves recognition!) We go for the food which is always great, with many sushi options! The sashimi is always a good cut and the Godzilla roll is probably our favorite special roll. There is a variety of apps, teriyaki and vegetarian options too. Jay, who greets you and is your waiter is AMAZING. He’s very sweet and seems happy to see us, it is worth it to come just to meet him. They are BYOB but also have a nice sake selection.“

“Got the shrimp teriyaki bento box. Portion was massive. Came with some tempura pieces including a big shrimp tempura. The shrimp was cooked good on both. Rice was cooked good. Not dry or too wet. Came with some dumplings too. Would order again! Maybe would get beef next time. There’s a bunch of different options.“

“We had a really good experience dining here! The highlights of the dining were definitely the staff and the food quality. The service was excellent—the staff was incredibly attentive throughout our meal. The sushi was absolutely outstanding and fresh. The only downside to our meal was the fried rice, which wasn't that great and lacked the same level of flavor as the rolls.
That being used, the fantastic sushi and top-notch service more than made up for it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!“

“Hands down one of the BEST sushi experiences I’ve had in Philadelphia. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the welcoming, positive energy. The atmosphere is clean, comfortable, and has such a great vibe that makes you want to slow down and truly enjoy your food.

I ordered the shrimp tempura roll — and honestly… I loved it so much that I ended up ordering TWO of them. Perfectly crispy on the outside, warm and flavorful on the inside, and made with extremely fresh ingredients. Every bite tasted better than the last. You can genuinely tell that a lot of care and pride goes into how the sushi is prepared here.

On top of that, I also ordered a shrimp avocado roll to take home, and Min was absolutely amazing. She was beyond kind, patient, and welcoming — the kind of person who makes you feel like a valued guest, not just another customer. She packed everything up quickly and neatly, and made the whole experience even better with her friendly attitude and positive energy.

This place isn’t just about great food — it’s about great people, great service, and a great overall experience. If you’re looking for authentic sushi, high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and a spot that truly cares about their customers, do yourself a favor and come here. I will 100% be back and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

“We happened upon this gem purely by chance. We had an amazing meal from A-Z (!!!) The sushi is phenomenal; sit at the newly designed sushi bar in the back and enjoy unique daily catches that come in through the connections the owner has with local fishermen. The restaurant is also known for their aged steaks, and Kobe prime rib, which we will try next time. I had the miso black bass and it was one of the best flavors with fish I have ever had. The broth had such a delicate shiitake mushroom flavor, which I loved. I literally couldn’t have had enough of this delicate, delicious dish. I could have had two orders and eaten it all! I think this dish epitomizes what the word UMAMI means. I also had the sautéed mushroom extravaganza, a treat for every taste bud of incredible flavors melted with a delicate sauce. My husband had their unique collection of sushi and sashimi choices that were all enjoyed at their stunningly beautiful sushi bar, complete with two young, passionate chefs who love what they do, and treasure their personal designs of the fish and rolls. All the rolls are presented in this great wooden cradle design, which I thought was so unique and functional. The owner was all smiles and genuinely happy to have had us try his new restaurant. I recommend it highly for either an exceptional steak meal (all are btw, so reasonably priced so order them for sure), or the traditional sushi. You won’t be disappointed. This will be our weekly go-to restaurant and we are counting the days until we will return, which actually will be next Tuesday the 9th! “My daughter loves sushi and since we were in the neighborhood I found this place online. She had the sushi entree and I had shrimp teriyaki. She liked her food mine was ok . Shrimp were small and a bit over cooked . Besides that the atmosphere was clean and relaxed and the servers were polite and very attentive. We will be back again . Thanks 💚“

We had them as servers on two separate occasions, and both provided outstanding service from start to finish. “Ate there last night. Everything was delicious, and I'd love to go back in the future. It seemed like the chef did creative riffs on things that made them interesting but still recognizable. To give but one example, I normally don't think of chirashizushi as something special, but the chef made a mini chirashizushi that was absolutely stellar! Also, the menu seems to start with a bunch of starters and such, and you think it's done, but that's when the sushi part starts! We were chatting with the couple around the corner of the counter from us, and it was fun seeing their reactions when they tried these amazing dishes!“

“Fiancé and I stopped by because our other meal plans fell through. He’s had ramen before I have not. For my first experience it was absolutely fantastic! Tiny out of the way place which was cozy, sushi and sashimi were excellent and fresh, spicy miso ramen was unbelievable!! Portions were large as well so come hungry!! “See pics for Shoyu Ramen and Salmon Dream. Ive also tried out their chicken katsu. Shoyu ramen was pretty standard. Chicken katsu had great portions. I actually wished there was more rice for all the chicken, which is a good problem to have. Salmon dream's presentation was perfectly balanced and so was the flavor. Portions are great, will fill you up. Prices are around the standard for the city. Services are great and fast.“

“It's a restaurant in the Comcast food court. They have a lot of pre packaged sushi, sashimi options. There are some prepackage hot food items also. In particular I like the Shrimp Tempura Kimchi Fried Rice, it has great flavors, fried egg, tempura shrimp. One of my go to favs.“

I ordered the mushroom gyoza (steamed), crispy rice, single sashimi, treasure roll, and crispy chocolate wonton.

I would definitely come back and get the mushroom gyoza again. If you love mushroom, definitely order this! The crispy rice was also amazing.
All the fish melted in your mouth. The chocolate wonton wasn’t my favorite but it was an innovative concept and nice to try something new.“
