“sitting here waiting for my first order so i figured i'd give some feedback about the menu- specifically regarding the gluten free subject. let me just say- very unclear. so many things i'm interested in ordering but don't know if they are gluten free or not- for ex, wanted to order the poke bowl- says gluten free option. when went to add ingredients doesn't specify which are gluten free or not- like sauces & the marinades & a lot of seaweed salad isn't gf so etc. is like this for a lot of menu items not just poke. a lot of menu items you have to click on each one to see if it's gluten free as opposed to viewing all gf options at once as well. basically, it's not really worth the trouble if you're gluten free to come here unless you find your go-tos. this would be easier if you could heart your favorites so you could be prepared instead of having to look through everything every time. still need to work out a few kinks here to make this a lasting business imo, but cool idea. hope the co is willing to work on improvements. (giving food all stars for now but haven't tried it yet)“

“Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. We will definitely be back many times. Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“Akira Moorestown is now one of my favorite sushi spots! The food is incredibly fresh, delicious, and beautifully prepared. Their sushi is outstanding, and everything we ordered was excellent.

A special thank you to our waiter, Andy, who went above and beyond after I mentioned my allergies to onions and scallions. He carefully checked every dish—from the appetizers to the sushi, chicken teriyaki, and even the sauces—to make sure everything was safe for me. His attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference.

“Today was the first time my husband and I ordered from Chang Wang. We did take out and ordered $47 worth of food and it was definitely worth every penny. We ordered Steamed Dumpling 10/10, Pizza Roll 10/10, Fried Chicken Wings 10/10 (cooked perfectly and crispy just like we like it), Steamed Chicken W/ White Rice 10/10 & Brown Sauce, and egg roll, and was able to use a coupon for some really good & tasty Cheese Wontons. All the food was delicious, cooked through, flavorful, (and there wasnt even an after taste if anything we tasted all flavors from the seasonings and food itself) and was enough to have lunch for tomorrow. What we both enjoyed the most was that all the fried food we bought weren't smothered in grease. We are literally abandoning our old take out for this place plus its not out of the way from work or home.“

I literally will gladly take that 16 minute drive any day. Edit: ordered again today, got the same bowl but with brown rice due to diabetes, was SUPER GOOD. Will never complain !“

“We have been here several times and always have the freshest and most delicious sushi! It’s by far our favorite sushi and we drive from Cherry Hill to Haddonfield because it’s so good. The service is always great and so sweet! Highly recommend!!!! I wish they would have a part tray made up of “regular rolls” that you can choose because I want to order several rolls every time we go.“

“Delicious, fresh food but its ashame they dont give you much of it. I ordered the myabi bowl with extra salmon. It must have been 5 minutes before the waitress came back with my food. And when I looked down at my bowl I saw fresh colorful food ready to be eaten. The service was very good and I never had to ask for a refill of water. But when I was finished eating I was still hungry. This was when I realized why the restaraunt wasnt full of coustomers. There was not nearly enough food to satisfy me which made me really annoyed. I could have easily eaten 2-3 of the bowls, and thats saying a lot since I got extra salmon. I would only come back here for lunch since there is not enough food for a full meal. Ignoring the portioning though everything else about the place was excellent, and I will be coming back for lunch sometime.“

“Finally gave them a try and was pleasantly surprised. The sushi rolls were delicious just cut a little thicker then I’m used too, and they were stuffed a little more than I’m used too. They tasted good, and left me wanting more. So, I will definitely be going back to give a try to some of there other menu options.“

“Absolutely incredible experience here at Akira. Came on a Tuesday evening and the place was packed! Both sides (regular and hibachi). Our server was so sweet and was so fun with our son. The place is loud so our son fit in just nicely.

Food is absolutely incredible!! The little slivers of ginger were the best I’ve ever had. I just wish it was the coarse sea salt on the edamame instead of table salt.

“Arrived 8:15 Friday night was seated immediately in a very secluded spot. Server was at our table in 1-2 minutes. The staff was very attentive and super friendly.
Now to the quality of the food. I have boneless duck was tender and flavorful. The other diner had beef thia Basel. The beef was so tender and just excellent. Had an sushimi app that was fabulous. The place is a find and you won’t be disappointed.“
