“Well, I have always liked the food including the tuna salad, Italian subs and the sub rolls... but... They need to seriously not cram hot food into bags with cold subs and they need to not put cold subs anywhere near the pizza over. Everything about our cold subs last week with lettuce, tomatoes and onion was warm, soggy and squishing out all over. It was a gross disaster. Guy only looked et me confused when I asked why my cold subs felt hot and why the hot fries were in the bag with the cold subs. I just sighed and left.“

“I have been ordering egg plant parm with side of spaghetti since Olive Gard opened in York. Best I have ever had until this evening. The egg plant was mushy and drown in sauce, so disappointed. I was with my family we were there celebrating my 83rd b-day. If I had been there with a small group I would have sent the egg plant back to the kitchen. Please see what is going on with my favorite. Service was out standing.“

“This restaurant has the best pizza, the sauce is great and they use real/ authentic mozzarella cheese, the crust has a wonderful taste, we have had the margarita woodfire and regular pizza, also the cheesesteak stromboli is amazing, very good quality meat. We have been looking for authentic Italian food for a long time and we finally found it, would give more stars if I could.“

“I am a local truck driver. As I finished my last delivery almost 2 hours from home. I google “subs near me”. This place popped up. Wasn’t too far out of my way. And I didn’t have a trailer so I went off to find this place. (Small shops are the best in my opinion), the Italian sub on a fresh baked roll was amazing. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area. Family owned. And I'll say this, to anyone complaining about prices, I also own a resturant and you can blame Biden and his staff for the price increases on food. Keep it up usa and I.“

“I was just there to catch up with old friends and had the veal Parmesan sub. It was delicious, big, decently priced, good sauce, perfect balance of soft/chewy/firm bun. Very friendly staff, pleasant, quiet atmosphere, and very clean.“

“So hubby and I ate here today…. As soon as you walk in the smell is incredible and the employees behind the wall greet you very nicely. We were seated immediately and our server Garrett oh my gosh, I don’t even know where to begin. He was fantastic and every meaning of the word he was polite he was funny. He was happy. He was knowledgeable. He was the sweetest person I have ever met in my life and I’ve met a lot of people. More people who own restaurants should have servers like Garrett the compassion inside this person is off the chart he was the sweetest person you’ve ever wanna meet in your life. He knew that menu like nobody’s business. Which in a lot of restaurants, you’re lucky if one of the servers knows what’s on the menu let alone know what it’s about not Garrett. He knew everything and if he didn’t have the answer, he found the answer with Greg the owner who I must say was just as nice and polite and knowledgeable as Garrett. If you wanna try somewhere new and you’ve never been here, you have to try this place. I am telling everybody about this restaurant. The food was phenomenal . We have not one complaint from the front door to the server to our food and out the door again. My husband and I had such a fantastic time here we want Garrett as our server from this point on nobody else I know that probably sounds critical but when you get a good server, that’s who you want every time you go back Garrett was efficient. He was fast. He could walk by your table and grab the dishes without even looking at you. He was that fast. He always checked on us even if it was just for a napkin he’s that good Thank you again Garrett and Greg, the owner for making our day wonderful Thank you for an awesome time Bill and Debbie from Florida“

“I'm a truck driver for the America's, sometimes down to Mexico all the way up to alaska, and I can confirm that this is the best pizza and wings I have had in a VERY long time!
I did have a small hiccup ordering because I didn't know it was an old menu I was looking at, but that was quickly resolved. And at request they sent a couple of menus so I could replace the old ones at the APU shop I had to bring my truck to.
My husband and I got a large cheese pizza and 12 jumbo boneless wings to share. Half hot wings and the other half garlic parmesan, with Bleu cheese and celery sticks. Bleeding delicious they were!!!“

“Their Angus steak burgers are shockingly good! I didn't have a fresh pizza but I got a slice of margherita pizza (at 8pm) and it was still very good despite being most likely hours old. Am definitely coming back later in the week to try a fresh pizza.“

“Visiting York from out of town. I had an inch to eat some Stromboli like one does in Pennsylvania. We were lucky enough Shakey Jakes was open until 11. My team and I visited and most of us ordered a Boli. We were told a small would feed one person. So I ordered a large. Holy Stromboli, this thing was huge. I only got through half but I brought it home so I can enjoy it for the next two days. It was so good I felt like it was sent from heaven above. This was EASILY the best food I have ever eaten in Pennsylvania. I can't recommend Shakey Jakes enough. Can't wait to go there again in 3 days when I finally finish my large Boli.“
