“We celebrated a family birthday on our first visit and we couldn't have had a better experience. The service was excellent. Brightly lit and beautifully decorated with booths and tables perfect for any size party. Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai were very flavorful as was the appetizers of shrimp balls, chicken satay and salt and pepper wings. We would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“They have very fresh sashimi and delicious appetizers. Oysters were also fresh and the toro was one of the best i had in a while. The chefs said that the Uni was from Hokkaido. Uni just melted in my mouth.

“Went the other night for the first time for dinner. Service was excellent and friendly, and did a good job answering questions. We got an appetizer of the beets that was delicious. The short rib risotto was out of this world - tender, flavorful and absolutely delicious. The goat however was a big miss. Came out as a round rolled piece that seemed unfortunately overcooked and tough. I was expecting a braised goat closer to a braised short rib. The couple next to us had the same two dishes and I noticed they didn't enjoy the goat either. The creme brulee desert was also spectacular. The atmosphere gets 3 because on a cold night, and with the restaurant being as small and cramped as it is, anytime someone comes or goes there's freezing cold wind that blows in. I wish more restaurants here did what they do in NYC with the plastic vestibules in front of the doors to prevent that.“

“I'm so glad I found this place. Right in the heart of town. Very nice dark/low-key atmosphere, food is always delicious, and service is impeccable. Awesome place to take that special someone or the family. Everything about Izu is consistent, so you're getting what you pay for every time. Very good menu selections. How many rolls can you consume in one sitting? How many are Izu willing to make? Remember to let someone else pour your sake for you!“

“Stopped in on a whim after shopping at Trader Joe’s and thought sushi sounded good. We were pleasantly surprised after not knowing really anything about this restaurant. The restaurant was clean and had an awesome vibe to it - we were seated immediately and it was a Friday night! Server was quick & accommodating…she also gave us recommendations for most popular sushi rolls. Their menu in general is extensive, so much so that we ordered 3 more rolls than we needed because everything sounded so good. We also got one of their ramen bowls (also many options on their ramen menu!) which was TO DIE FOR. We talked about it for a solid week after! All of our food was so delicious, we feel like we found such a gem of a spot! We’ve already talked about how we’ll be making more Trader Joe’s tripped solely to come back to Kumo 🙌🏼 Highly recommend!!!! “Was here recently for a colleague’s birthday party. They rented a private room with food + bottle service. Off street parking was definitely a huge plus. The staff was very attentive, and the overall atmosphere of the place seemed pretty chill. My only critique is the karaoke interface is not very intuitive, and the selection for ACTUAL karaoke/instrumental tracks are very limited because they only use Spotify for the music. It’s more like a sing-along than karaoke. I would suggest using youtube instead of spotify because YouTube’s selection of music for karaoke is far superior. Other than that, the place is great!“

We're not exactly mall people or around the corner from it, but we'll specifically go to the mall JUST for this place! Michael is always super friendly and recognizes us as soon as we walk in. I guess you could say it's our "go-to" restaurant for "to-go" Chinese food.“

“I have been ordering there for 10+ years. They are great. They did have a downfall when the head lady that used to answer phone calls left. I do miss her. She was very personable. They would mess up my order, but since then things I’ve gotten better. Overall, it’s good food“

Sushi is good and not loaded up with rice. The other asian dishes are more flavorful than typical Chinese take out. I would like to continue trying things. I would also like to eat at the restaurant at some point.

I wish they had more sichuan options, and I want to add tofu to thing as a protein. So chicken + tofu together!“
