The food was excellent! The pizza crust was crispy and so delicious. The desserts we presented beautifully and were so good. I loved the bruschetta that was given to us when you first come in and are looking at the menu.
If I rated on the food alone it would have been rated far beyond excellent! However, dine in service was horrible. Our waitress was rude and completely disrespectful. Table side manner was awful and we had to wait a while for just water! No one even asked...read full review
So happy to have this little bit of Italy 10 minutes from home.
Great homemade pastas and sauces.
Fantastic meatballs and calamari too.
And warm family service.
Can't wait to try their pizza.
Thanks!!
Came here for Father’s Day dinner with my parents. Had the shrimp scampi risotto. Food was delicious. Best fresh baked rolls I’ve ever had. Service was outstanding too & my family was treated warmly by the friendly owners. Will definitely be back & recommend to others :)

Nonna Giovanna's Pizzeria Ristorante is a small strip mall pizza restaurant and a hidden gem in Maple Glen. The restaurant offers authentic Italian food that’s absolutely delicious, with a casual atmosphere and BYOB policy. The service is friendly and welcoming, with staff that have an authentic Italian way about them. The menu features dishes like bruschetta, mussels, arancini, and main courses such as veggie pizza, Margherita pizza, fettuccini alfredo, and pasta dishes. The bruschetta is praised for its amazing toppings with a subtle flavor from fresh parsley and red onions, though the bread can be toasted too hard. The roasted vegetable appetizer “Verdura Alla Griglia” is wonderful, with sliced, grilled vegetables roasted just right with not too much garlic. The pasta dishes are flavorful but can be overcooked, and the tomato sauce is thick and rich. The mussels and shrimp over spinach served over linguine is a good choice, with excellent quality shrimp and a flavorful broth, though it could benefit from more pasta and a bread refill. For dessert, the limoncello flute with lemonchello gelato and limoncello sauce is a light and pretty good finish. While some dishes vary in quality and the bread is not always perfect, the prices are reasonable and the value is excellent, making it a great spot for casual dining.
