I did call about the brownie—the manager, Mike, immediately took responsibility for the missing brownie. Within 15 minutes, Mike arrived at my work with not only a brownie but a new salad with double chicken. This is amazing service!! And certainly above and beyond my expectations. “A lowkey spot but great food and very clean. We so happened to stumble upon it and we were genuinely pleased from the 1st bite. We over heard someone picking up take out say that it was the best sushi he’s had and it was true. The price was great too. One plate of fried rice was enough to satisfy 2 people and then had about 18 pieces of sushi in total. Once finished, it didn’t make you feel sluggish and gross after eating. Great to see an owner who truly cares about their craft and customers. We’ll be back!“

The pizza was solid: plenty of cheese, good sauce, and a nice balance overall. Staff was friendly. I’ll consider trying one of their sandwiches next time I stop by, they look good. “Super friendly staff! I usually DoorDash their food but I was in the area and decided to stop in and was warmly greeted and pleasantly helped when placing my order. Everyone has a smile on their face 10/10 customer service.

Food is amazing I love their Sriracha tahini sauce, I wish they had it all year round.
I do think it’s silly they don’t take cash tips, they should have a little tip container i paid for my order cash and couldn’t leave a tip.

Bri, the event coordinator, worked with me to customize my menu. She was extremely responsive to all my requests. Our server, Nick, truly made the experience exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout our buffet service, always there to refill drinks and assist the guests. The buffet itself was delicious! The selection was impressive, and everyone enjoyed the delicious pasta, chicken parm and bruschetta. Overall, the combination of great food, a nice ambiance, and outstanding service from Nick made our graduation party amazing. I highly recommend From the Boot for any special event.“

I was greeted with a big smile by Theresa. She was so kind to listen to my Generation Y banter and make my seasonal white sweet potato bowl. “This is an iconic neighborhood spot. Food is delicious and tastes just like it did when I was a kid in the 80's. Excellent waitress last night who did a terrific job. The ribs, stuffing, burgers, wings and corn muffins are amazing!!!! The space is nothing special but it is nostalgic if you grew up in NE Philly. Its a must try go to spot. We love RIB RACK!!!“

Reasonably priced fresh food platters with a variety of tasty choices to choose from some as low as $5! $5 is a great price for those on a budget. I got the Mac and cheese/ fried chicken combo and the sauce it comes with is so yummy! It was pretty good. Also got the fish over rice with the garlic sauce it comes with a small salad as well. Fish was lightly breaded and cooked well. I will visit this spot again for sure to try out the other menu items!“
