Amici Pizza is a highly-recommended spot in the Harrisburg/Mechanicsburg area. The moment you step inside, you'll be greeted by a clean and nicely decorated atmosphere. The staff is prompt and friendly, with a focus on providing excellent service. The pizzas are a standout, with a unique balance of flavors and a crust that's closer to New York-style than traditional Midwest hand-toss. The restaurant also offers a variety of other menu items, including chicken fingers, fries, breadsticks, and strombolis.
Amici's Pizza has completely raised the bar. Not only is the pizza fantastic with crispy crust, rich sauce, and quality toppings, but the real standout here is what they're doing with their fryer. They deep fry everything in beef tallow now, including their wings, and the difference is night and day. The wings are out of this world: perfectly crisp outside, juicy inside, with that rich flavor you just don't get from cheap oils. Fries, appetizers, even the small things taste cleaner and more satisfying. Switching to beef tallow also means fewer of the inflammatory seed oils you find in most restaurants.
