It was so yummy and although my order was incorrect, they quickly corrected it once notified. I was super pregnant, so the little things matter and the Sportsman got it right. ??

“It's a small dive bar. But makes up for it with, their out of this world BBQ. Pool Table, jukebox, and sports on the TV. BBQ ribs, smoked and cooked on site by owner.

“Later on a Sunday, it had parking and no wait for a table.

The service ruled. Friendly, attentive without being overbearing, and knowing about menu items.

The fish on a dish was nicely fried, not greasy or dark, and pleasantly un-fishy.

The seating is on the outer walls on 3 sides of a nice bar. There are sports pennants for many Pennsylvania ball teams hanging along the top of the walls between a few TVs. Good atmosphere to watch a game.

The restroom was fine. 2 stalls in the women's. Stocked and cleaned normal.

“My boyfriend and I stopped in for our last lunch until he gets back in a month as an otr truck driver. I googled restaurants near the Smithton truck stop and I was not disappointed. The food was awesome and the service even better!! We left full and happy. Needless to say we will be back!!!“

“I'm bias toward dive bars because they usually have a fun group of people and your tab doesn't get too high. This is that place, picture perfect dive. You can smoke, drink, and throw your name on the chalkboard so you have next dibs on the pool table. The ladies room is like stepping into a funhouse built 3 feet too short, lol.
