I came in expecting a burger, but I stayed for the Frog Legs—the gochujang brown butter buffalo sauce is an absolute game changer. If you are looking for boring bar food, go elsewhere. Here, you have to try the Beef Tartare; the quality of the Snake River Farms beef really shines, and the soy cured yolk adds such a rich texture. For the main event, the Duck Burger is a must-order. The combination of a duck and beef fat patty with luxardo cherries and boursin cheese sounded crazy on paper, but it was incredible. This place is a culinary hidden gem.“

But the star of the show was the food. starting with the calamari and ending with an amazing grilled chicken Cesar wrap with squash. everything was wonderful. next time we come to the area we will be back.“

Recently, I’ve experienced a shift in service that left me feeling uncomfortable and dismissed. What once felt warm and inviting has become cold and unprofessional through eye-rolling, dismissive responses, and careless service. Respect should never depend on how often someone visits, who they are, or what they look like — professionalism is the standard, not the exception. As patrons, we notice the small things — tone, body language, and how we are treated when we walk through the door. Establishments should remember that every guest is observing, every interaction matters, and every moment reflects the character of the business. My hope is simple: that businesses remain mindful of how staff attitudes shape the entire experience. “Visiting Pittsburgh over the weekend and couldn’t miss our Buckeyes vs TTUN. Mike’s Beer Bar was recommended, and it was hands down one of the best game day bar experiences we’ve ever had. The atmosphere was incredible, drink menu (both on tap and cans) showing a plethora of choices to satisfy anyone, and great food. The staff was second to none and very friendly as well. Already looking forward to our next visit!“

“Great Food and Atmosphere, Some Service Concerns I recently moved to the Braddock Hills area and was excited to revisit this spot, which used to be Folie’s a few years back. The food here is absolutely delicious, and it’s the perfect place to grab a bite, enjoy a margarita, and relax. That said, I’ve had a few experiences with a particular staff member that were concerning. While most of the team has been friendly and welcoming, However, barmaid (JESS who served me February the 7th around 1:49 p.m.) has been noticeably short and dismissive on a couple of occasions. For example, there were times when she rolled her eyes or responded curtly when I greeted her, even though previous visits had been pleasant. I even had an instance where my drink was placed at the very edge of the bar in a way that felt intentionally difficult. I did call to bring this to the manager’s attention to address it, no and she allegedly answered the phone as the manager, and to my experience the manager is a gentleman as well as the owner. I wanted to share it here as well. I’ve spoken with other patrons who’ve noted that her personality can sometimes affect the overall experience. While I understand everyone can have an off day, consistent professionalism and courtesy are essential in customer service, especially in a neighborhood gem like this one. Overall, I truly enjoy this restaurant—the food, ambiance, and most of the staff make it a wonderful place. It was so yummy and although my order was incorrect, they quickly corrected it once notified. I was super pregnant, so the little things matter and the Sportsman got it right. ??

“Dick's is a family owned bar that's a great place to socialize, shoot some pool and watch sports! Their juke box has a nice sounds to it. They have their own kitchen with reasonable prices for their food and drinks. The bartenders are friendly and rarely keep a customer waiting. One of the things I like most about Dick's is you RARELY EVER SEE A FIGHT! The owners, Tom and Kim Dick will be celebrating 15 years in business this winter. On special occasions they usually provide a buffet and/or dessert of some kind. Their employees are quick to stop an argument in the rare occasion one would start. Those are just a few of the reasons I love going to Dick's!!!“

“I SHOULD RATE IT LOWER! BUT I WON'T.Ok so I'm going to start with this as a mixed review in two ways one for Priors and the bowling alley since they were both involved. We had a Young teens birthday party there where the bowing alley offers min charge $120 for 8 people. We understood this going in. We only had 5 teens 3 adults. Everyone bowled 1 game the adults had to buy their own drinks even though we paid for (8) the adults were also not allowed to eat. We were told prices went up blame the government. (Wow) so we ordered 3 cokes adults also not permitted to eat so we ordered food. The kids each got a small rectangle of pizza and a few French fries along with their included drink. So not even 1 whole pizza for the party? Was very confused. We could have gone there based on normal pricing paid 40 bucks less everyone would have eaten drank cokes bowl more than 1 game for alot less money. So BE CAREFUL. We did have a hostess as well that will also cost you tip. Our hostess was awesome this experience was not their fault. It was mine for not doing better research. So I'm short if your having a party there skip the party through them and go Alacarte.“

“Down and dirty. Liquor in plastic bottles. Graffiti on every inch of the bathroom. Respectable beer selection, and a great pinball room. There is a heavy 'locals only' vibe, so behave yourself. Don't ask for an espresso martini. Don't ask for a Cosmo. Do bring quarters so you don't have to bother the bartender for them. Pretty sure you can still smoke here. Bourdain would have felt right at home.“
