“Every Lent I go on a fish sammich quest. Who has the best fish sammich in the Pittsburgh area. My wife and I have been from Cranberry, to Moon Twnship, to Greensburgh to our local are in search of who has the best fish sammich for 2024. Hands down, House of 1000 Beers, New Ken, has by far the best sandwich. The fish was incredible , crispy, clearly patted down before putting on the bun. About 3 to 4in longer then the 12in bun. The bun itself was perfect. Lettuce, tomato, onion and cheese. Perfect tartar sauce…daaaamn! It is by far the best fish sammich in 100 mile radius. Whoever is making these in the kitchen is doing a great job. They take pride in their craft, job well done! Seriously, if ur looking for the best fish sammich, look no further than House of 1000 Beers , New Ken. Damn, job well done.“
“What a great place to spend an evening! It is tucked away in the back of the Quality Inn. I went for country line dance night. The bar is very spacious. Staff was friendly and attentive. The dance floor was small but mighty. There was an elevated level at the front of the dance floor for performers /DJs, so that was cool. The vibes were great. I didn't eat food, but my friend did and she really liked it. It looked good to me!“
“Updated review since coming for dinner on a Sunday night when our other plans fell through, and neither of us wanted to cook. We had a GREAT time sitting at a high top by the bar. I enjoyed my cocktail. The kale salad was delicious and so large we got four servings out of it (one each for dinner, and again with our leftovers). Look at hubby mugging over this enormous tower of food that is the Dante's Beak "handheld" with a Nashville hot chicken thigh. (It is very hot--they're not lying.) And then there were the pumpkin gnudi: so soft, so creamy, so pillowy. Alas, they didn't travel or heat up well, but in the moment, they were heavenly. Prices were fair for service, food, drink, and ambience. Men's room is at the back, women's room is on the righthand side of the dining room. We'll definitely return when we're in Regent Square again.“

“If your looking for a white glove establishment with Valet parking this place is not for you. If your want a meal that taste better than Mom's this is it. I had a full rack of ribs, with the hash brown potatoes, the salad was fresh with beets, black olives, cukes, tomatoes, and the home made Rasberry Dressing was like (wow i want to take a gallon home)“

Comfort food can sometimes be so basic and generic but the food here was REALLY impressive, fresh, perfectly seasoned and tasty. We'd go back in a second if we didn't live so far. “Love this place! It's clean and the staff are friendly. I was here for a karaoke night and it was pretty good. Two super nice pool tables upstairs, spaced out perfectly. Honestly I was told the blue lagoon was really good and it's vodka blue curaçao lemonade it was a very good drink just wish it had more lemonade flavor to it. And as far as the raspberry long island goes it's perfectly delicious and scrumptious. Their seasoned fries and Mac attack bowls Cajun shrimp was quite delicious. Although personally I might ask for more Cajun next time. I love to be able to see it in the delicious creamy white sauce they pair it with also the shrimp in this delicious delicacy is fried. “A little biased here, but my father built LaBarbe’s back in the late 1920’s. It’s gone through changes over the years however, it still remains a wonderful place and still has the great food and great owners. I’m headed back to eat there today (8/6).“
