“I had a really good experience here and would recommend to others. The service when I visited was particularly noteworthy. Despite being incredibly busy with just one waitress, she was incredible! She was remarkably efficient and seemed to have attended all tables with no problems. My table had no issues with our orders and was able to frequently check-in with us, along with putting a matchbook under our table when we didn't even mention it to her. As for the food, it was exceptional. I tried the duck noodles, a rare find from my experience with Thai restaurants, and it did not disappoint. The portion size was generous enough for me to take almost half of it home. I chose a spice level of 7, and it really had quite a kick. It left me visibly sweating which was actually quite funny for everyone at my table. I think the food and service really delivered here. I would return here should I be given the chance.“

“Definitely my favorite food in the area! I went to Asian cafe for years and then they changed their recipes and I switched to Hunan 2 years ago and I'm never going back. I always get their hot and sour soup, wonton soup, pork lo mein, and general tso's chicken and they never disappoint. I've also had their beef and broccoli a couple times which is always tender and flavorful. I go here about once a month and always have the best service. The women is always super nice and even gives us table duck sauce because she knows it's our favorite. 10/10 can't recommend this place enough!“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Shaka and I must say, it was an amazing experience. The atmosphere was fun and the staff were friendly and attentive. But what really impressed me was the food. We ordered the Trio Poke and the Asian Fries, and both dishes were amazing. The Poke was incredibly fresh and flavorful, with a perfect balance of ingredients (smoked salmon, spicy tuna, and tempura shrimp). The Asian Fries were delightfully crispy and seasoned to perfection, with just the right amount of spice. The quality of the ingredients used in each dish was evident, and the presentation was visually stunning. It was clear that great care was taken in preparing each dish. Overall, I highly recommend Shaka Restaurant to anyone looking for fresh, delicious food. The Trio Poke and Asian Fries are must-tries!“
“This is easily my favorite Thai restaurant in Pittsburgh. The food is always flavorful with fresh ingredients and bright flavors. The online ordering page is easy to navigate, and my takeout orders are always packaged well enough to handle the drive home. I highly recommend the fresh rolls (shrimp or tofu) as well as the tom yum soup and som tom salad. All the typical stir fries, curries, and noodle dishes are also delicious, but there are too many good options to list here. I especially like the option to order just about any dish with extra vegetables. I can't recommend this place enough for anyone looking to get their Thai fix in Pittsburgh.“

“This place has excellent Sichuan cuisine. We had the tofu seafood bao, pork liver, and rabbit. To an American ear, that doesn't sound good, but I promise you it was fantastic. The flavor and spice profile on the liver and rabbit were out of this world. I couldn't even tell the liver was liver. The star of the show, in my opinion, was the rabbit. It was like a dark meat chicken, eith ginger, spicy peppers, brown sauce, and of course the signature Sichaun peppercorn. I highly recommend coming here!“
“Food is amazing never judge book my it's cover. I had shrimp and broccoli. It was a great ratio of shrimp and broccoli. Broccoli was very much chewable which I like not so hard and not to soft. I also order shrimp fried rice and that was really good too I like yellow looking Chinese rice brown rice gives me Japanese rice vibes but it was really good.“
“Food was really tasty ?. Enough items for the buffet. I expected a better sushi collection but I was already so full with it's tasty platter, I can't complain. One thing I should mention that the dessert items could be better. I am not into desserts, so good for me... Overall, I liked it.“
