“Just discovered that they’re open til 7pm on Mondays!(not sure of the rest of the week). I really thought they had shorter hours. i.e. no evening hours during the week.

I was craving a smoothie and was out of produce and feeling lazy. Live Fresh solved my problem but then created a new one…I couldn’t figure out which smoothie to get!

I like the pitaya plunge. I wanted something tropical so I got the jungle fever with coconut milk, banana, mango, and pineapple. I drank the whole thing by the time I got home. The other one I wanted to try has cinnamon and vanilla in it. I forget what else.

They also sell cups of fruit which I bought. Maybe I won’t be lazy tomorrow and will make my own smoothie.“

As a parent of a child with Celiac disease, finding restaurants that truly get gluten-free safety can be stressful but the team here went above and beyond. They were kind, knowledgeable, and took every precaution to make sure our gluten-free pizza was safe. “This is my partner and I's favorite coffee shop in all of Pittsburgh. Every drink I've ordered has been delicious, and their breakfast burrito is amazing as well. Never a miss with this place. The baristas are friendly and efficient, and the owner is a great guy - friend of my partner. The atmosphere is unlike any other in the city, eclectic and maximalist, yet very cozy. There's a reason that every time we go most of the tables, indoor and outdoor, are filled up! I've recommended this place to countless people, and will continue to do so. We probably come here at least once a week, and are always looking for excuses to stop by and get a tasty drink.

“I have ordered/eaten at this restaurant more than 5+ times. I am local. My 1&only complaint - if someone orders more than 1 sushi roll (2+), we would love 2 pairs of chopsticks. My husband & I order atleast once every 2 weeks & we both love sushi but only order 1 sushi roll each because we order a dinner combo as well plus appetizer. If we could have 2 sets of chopsticks when we order 2 or more sushi rolls, that would %125 make our whole day“

My husband was celebrating his 50th birthday and we decided to do catering through them. My expectations weren’t only met but exceeded substantially! Everything was delicious as usual—we ordered mixed fajitas, choripollo, rice and beans, chips and queso. I did a pickup order and everything was labeled and packaged well for quick set up. “Stumbled across Silk elephant after the Pittsburgh rain storms. Immediately im amazed by not only the atmosphere, but the prices! On top of that, Generous portions, fast -friendly service, & affordable. This place has all the potential to be a hidden gem that I would definitely gatekeep. But, the food fell a little short.
What we ordered
Food: Salmon dumplings 10/10 these need a bigger portion !!!
Crab crowns: 9/10 nothing special but not skimpy on the filling and dripping sauce was nice
Pakang curry: 8/10 solid choice. good but skimpy chicken portion. Going to be a lot of veggies and very little protein.
Calamari:….very overcooked couldn’t even rip a bite off. Despite it being over cooked, this & the crab crowns arrived to the table cold! The ( very nice) lady attending to us was very nice and obliged my request of having it remade just so I could enjoy a hot meal(shoutout to her) Maybe 7 mins later I’m presented with the same plates I sent back just with visibly darker food now. So they reheated food that already touched the table and my person. I work in food service so this threw me off for healthy and safety reasons. Besides from that I enjoyed my dining experience and would be willing to give it another try should the health conditions approve.“
