“Wow - can't believe I missed reviewing this Mad Mex until now. I have eaten at several Mad Mex locations - all good - and each with its own ambience. The Monroeville location feels like the "fun uncle" of the bunch. This was especially true when hubby and I ate at the bar on a November evening. It was like we had a free floor show. They were super busy and it was all hands on deck, but we still didn't wait very long for our meals. All the locations feature Tex-Mex décor that feels both rustic and fun. Mad Mex, part of the Big Burrito Group of restaurants, doesn't feel like a chain. That said, the food has the consistent quality you expect from a chain. One benefit of the corporate oversight for me is that staff is, for the most part, well educated re: allergens. (Plus their website is helpful.) They regularly substitute corn tortillas for the flour ones for me, with no decline in quality of the food. Mad Mex has a very creative and diverse menu - complete with the standards you can rely on and the seasonal surprises. This includes the margaritas, which highlight the flavors of the ingredients instead of drowning them in sugar. Sometimes, when I mention Mad Mex to someone they reply "I don't like Mexican food." To that I reply, it's not Mexican, it's Mad Mex. I enjoy both, but appreciate the difference.“
“My normal thing at Eat'nPark is the Black Angus Super Burger or the four triple patty Super Burger. With a side of onions and a toss salad French dressing also two baked potatoes with butter . their homemade milkshake is to die for on that particular day I got the banana milkshake what a treat I also got the country fried steak with white gravy mashed potatoes and toss salad Italian dressing I've been going to McDonald's since I've been a little kid I always look forward but I have an opportunity to go I love it much better than McDonald's Wendy's or Burger King no disrespect to them but for your money you come out on top I was so support my local waitresses my community I get good table service. You can't ask for more than that. My dinner was about $35 that nightParking: There are also handicapped parking also for Uber eats, GrubHub, and there are also spots for pickup close to the door“
“Bought our first Cake yesterday from Casey Renee for my Mom’s wedding and now I’ll never buy another cake from anyone else. Casey is the sweetest and she is so talented. Everyone was asking where the cake was from, as it was beautiful and delicious! Thank you Casey Renee!! We’ll be repeat customers for sure!“
“This was the first time I’ve been to Noodlehead and will definitely be going back soon, whether it’s to eat in or just order takeout. The Pad Thai was soo amazing and definitely the best I’ve had, and it’s a great price. I can’t wait to get it again and try other noodles also. Love that it’s BYOB as well!“
“Our first time here, in from out of town. The menu is fantastic, and everything we tried was great. Amanda was very helpful in explaining everything, letting us know what to expect from certain smoothies or juices, how long to expect things to last after taking it home, etc. In addition, she made some great recommendations. Everyone working was in a great mood, and it was a good environment overall. Can’t wait to come back on our next trip to the area!“
“As someone who works in Regent Square, it's so valuable to be able to quickly hop over to Live Fresh and get a smoothie! I go almost everyday to get one of their healthy smoothies. Everyone who works there is so kind and helpful. The place is a breath of fresh air! I recommend trying the Popeye's with added cinnamon! Delicious and I feel GREAT afterwards.“
“Patti's Pasticceria is a family-owned Italian-American bakery. Its menu includes breakfast pastries, cookies, cupcakes, rolls, specialty cakes (e.g., wedding, anniversary, birthday, and graduation), and even non-baked goods such as soups and espresso drinks. Prices are reasonable. For Easter, my family purchased a chocolate cake, a white cake, a strawberry pie, and lady-lock cookies from Patti's. My family members and I thought that these desserts were fresh and tasted good, but we prefer the flavors of desserts from a few other bakeries. I would feel happy to try many of Patti's other desserts, including her cinnamon rolls, pecan rolls, apple strudels, cold-dough apricot cookies, s'mores cookies, cheesecake, carrot cake, sfogliatelle, etcetera. Please note that some desserts must be ordered in advance, and catering is available.“
“Stopped here for a quick lunch on a Saturday. Server was attentive, food was hot and fresh and atmosphere was relaxed. We had a large pizza and some sandwiches. Appreciated that there was a vegetarian sandwich option and that the menu was simple and easy to figure out. They know what they do best there and they keep it at that. Something I admire.“
“Christmas at Johnny's...Very Festive and Comforting. I had the Chicken Romano...OUTSTANDING!!!! The Chicken was SO TENDER that I was Eating it with a SPOON!!! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! Also had Meatballs...DELICIOUS!!! A MUST VISIT To EVERYONE Who want REAL HOMEMADE ITALIAN QUESINE!!!@“
“Stopped in for take out. I was early. 100% on me. The staff quickly prepared my food, always excellent , even gave me a complimentary drink and app. So far above and beyond. A man, who I assumed was the owner, refilled my drink and made sure everything was ok. The food , service and just care that this establishment offers is truly unmatched. My wife and I will continue to enjoy this world class restaurant nestled in Irwin Pa. Go check it out . Has never disappointed us.“
“Pastoli's is our go-to for delivery pizza and wings, we order from them regularly. We appreciate the variety of pizzas and the wings usually come hot and well sauced. The zucchini planks are also a hit in our house. I would recommend Pastoli's to anyone looking for good pizza. Also, we've gotten their gluten free crust a few times and it's nearly indistinguishable.“
“I have some tea hipster friends and we all agree that they have the best tea. They have 80 pages of tea and they're all good. They also have great friendly employees and an amazing environment. Only problem is it gets too crowded on Thursday and Friday night but that's expected for an amazing place.Dietary restrictions: Accomodates every dietary restriction, but they're not known for the food but really for the tea.Parking: Free street parking in the neighborhoods and 5-10 minute walk. Tons of paid street parking. Some paid parking garages are also around a 5 minute walk.“
“Such a wonderful little piece or France tucked into Pittsburgh! I went in to order macarons and ended up walking out with the delightful little desserts, as well as several warm, freshly baked baguettes. The environment was welcoming and cozy and the girl who helped me couldn't have been sweeter! If you've got a taste for authentic French baked goods, I can't recommend this place highly enough!“
“A Pittsburgh institution! I've been to the original Oakmont Bakery a few times before, yet this was my first visit to the newer, larger place. It was very impressive, not small and cozy like some of the little family owned bakeries or local chains, but absolutely worth checking out. While I wouldn't normally visit on a busy weekend day, I was in the area and had to stop. And they absolutely have a system down to handle any size crowd! Simply grab a number and they have a number of employees lined up to help you with any size order.I wanted a drink and a few small bakery items, so after scoping out the offerings I headed to the cafe area to order a drink. The self serve computers made it easy to order any of the wide variety of drinks, I chose a s'mores latte. While waiting for it to be made I headed back up to the counters, grabbed a ticket, and eyed an eclair and small chocolate cream pie. Yes, this is a great place for us chocoholics! After no more than a few moments it was already my turn, and I was able to pick my items up.The exterior and interior are very nice and modern, and the bakery is easily accessible in the middle of Oakmont and near the bridge. Parking is limited in front of the building, but plenty more is available behind it across from the park. The large variety of cakes, bagels, cookies, donuts, and seasonal items ensure there is something for everyone. And the large number of workers up front and in the back ensure they don't run out and you can be served quickly. Thanks!“
“Every time I visit family in Oakmont, we make several trips to Brr-Kee's. There are many reasons to love this place. The ice cream flavors are plentiful to choose from and excellent regarding temperature and taste. The sundaes and cones are always very good for the folks liking the normal portion sizes. For the professional ice cream connoisseur, you really should try the large banana split. You can have them swap the usual vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavors for any flavor of the day listed. Check out the picture of this bad boy. Takes me back to the tasty freezes of a bye gone era. Also, the fact that they are open year round is a huge bonus as many of us enjoy ice cream in the colder months.“
“We had a very enjoyable evening at Tambellini's. We love the cozy ambience of the dining room and the gracious service. Our server Charlotte did a great job of pacing our meal service. We both had the special entree of Veal Lucca with veal medallions in marsala sauce topped with crispy proscuitto. Delicious! We enjoyed after dinner drinks at the bar with Mike to finish a relaxing evening.“
“Fantastic little coffee/tea shop tucked away in the Pittsburgh suburbs. Baristas are friendly & helpful. The hot coffee I had was fantastic. The cold drinks I saw that others purchased looked like they would be tasty. Cannot wait to go back and try something else.“
“I’ve ordered two birthday cakes and a custom two-tier cake for our son’s baptism from Bella Christie’s Sweet boutique. All were incredibly delicious and beautifully decorated. This is my top choice bakery for special occasions. I live in the South hills but come here for cakes.“
“We loved everything we got here! My husband, who doesn’t like macarons, really enjoyed the macarons. We also got the raspberry tart and Paris-Pittsburgh and thoroughly enjoyed both. The Paris-Pittsburgh just melts in your mouth. Both have a delightful flavor :) we will definitely be bringing our friends and family here when they come to visit!“
“Amazing collection of loose leaf teas with the best prices around. And always wonderful customer service every time I visited. I've since moved out of the area but still place orders online monthly and they always arrive promptly and well packaged.“
“I've never been a guest. I've been in this place a few times picking up delivery orders. Most of the time, my order is packed up and ready in 5 minutes. That's five minutes I get to watch a pool game, think about coming back, maybe, to play a game. Once, someone called off so they were short staffed and I got to listen to the music and just relax for, like, 20 min. I didn't make budget on that trip, but I usually do, so it all levels out. This is a really friendly, hospitable place. The food must be good, too, cause people order it even if they haven't got time to go.“
“Used to go years ago while I was home for college and now years later I’m back! Still just as good as ever. Everything tastes so fresh and the atmosphere is comforting. My favorites are the pink elephant smoothie, muffins, and the grasshopper or unicorn wings juices! Try everything you’re curious about it will pay off!“
“My friend and I traveled to Silk Elephant from Bethel Park. Three Reasons:: We love the Chicken Pad Thai.: We love the Thai Crab Bisque and Salmon Rolls: We love the Mango JuiceThe prices are so reasonable especially compared to how other restaurants have really spiked their prices. Service is always good. Hooray for them. Love giving them my business.“
“Never had Ramen from here and figured I'd try it. All my friends raved about it and they were right. Delicious. Service was excellent and the price was right. Will definitely be back!!!Update: another delicious bowl of Ramen, but I sure wish they would sell their T-shirts!!!“
“Amazing food - my favorite place for a good burger and the caramel pretzel milkshake is divine! Chef’s Kiss mwah! 1000% would recommend.Parking: Handicap spaces are usually available but other spaces you may have to hunt for a bit. Located in a busy shopping plaza. Also need to pay attention to the direction signs AND cars, have nearly clipped a few confused drivers coming in the wrong direction.“
“The smoothie bowls are delicious. I've been ordering from here for a while and have yet to have a bad experience. They're always my go-to when I'm not sure what to eat.Parking: Parking is right out front.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheel chair accessible side walk to the door.Dietary restrictions: Tons of dairy substitutes.“
“We got their flyer in the mail today and decided to give them some business. We're outside of their delivery area, so we just picked up the pizza ourselves. We ordered the standard pizza with two toppings. They use really good cheese. The sauce is on the sweet side, not acidic, not bitter. Overall it's a pretty good sauce. Pizza dough was really good, comparable to some of the best pizza places we've tried out this way. And the prices seemed really fair. Only real complaint I have, and it's not their fault, is we couldn't tell the place was in business when we found it. They need better lighting or something so that you can tell this is a place of business to match the quality of their pies. I rate our experience pretty highly, we'll be back to try some other stuff from the menu.“
“Good service just didn't pay attention to refill for drinks otherwise everything was perfect. Food was delicious and servers where so sweet and funny great atmosphere and upbeat loved the artwork inside and the music.Kid-friendliness: Kids are welcome they have a kid menu and booster seats.“
“The cupcakes, snickerdoodles and chocolate chip cookies were good. The icing was more whipped than I'd like. It's a quaint shop; stocked well with so many choices; including gluten free items. Parking can be a little tricky, if an event is going on next door.“
