I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. The meat is 100% Halal and you can taste the quality. Flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. **This is the kind of spot you want to support. “A nice spot, rather informal but still fun. We split the lamb glaba, which was fairly good, and the fahsah, which came with large flatbread and was really good. You do have to pay for water. Our server was helpful and easy to talk to. Overall I'd say its a fun ethnic spot to visit. They did some weird stuff with the bill- I think they charged the credit card tax ahead of time on everything regardless of payment method, so be aware of that.“

“What a great happy hour! The bartenders are attentive and personable. The bartender, who was serving us, made a special drink for my wife who wanted something with vodka. He nailed it and she loved it. The Ripp fries are an absolute must if you want a delicious bar snack. We also tried the squash blossom (recommended by the bartender) and it was amazing. “We found this gem of an Italian deli in Ridley Park, less than a mile off the Delaware Expressway.

My husband ordered the “Old World”, a fresh baked roll piled high with meats, cheeses, and Italian spices. I had a sandwich with lightly breaded chicken breast, fresh Mozzarella and roasted red peppers. And yes, it really was that good.
