“Getting hoagies from III Guys is CONSISTENTLY hit or miss. Now it's constantly a *miss* so we're done spending money here. I got a turkey hoagie today and there was barely anything on it! 😠 A regular sandwich is thicker! Two slices of turkey, a tiny bit of lettuce, some onions and a couple tomato slices! Oh and it was DRY! We paid for mostly BREAD! Feels awesome to be shafted for what you paid for. I had to put my own Mayo on it, add lettuce and add tomato to fill it! That's NOT the point of take out. Food quality is going DOWN last few years. ((See comments for pics of this sad hoagie)) We're done giving them the benefit of the doubt. The other hoagie we bought was also lacking & dry. “My son kept telling me he wanted us to try this restaurant as he lives in the area and he goes there often. It was a hike for us, but we decided to go try it out. There were 6 of us there, and everyone enjoyed their food, but I will speak to what we ordered. My son insisted we try the pizza as an appetizer. I am not really into pizza when I go out to a restaurant, so I was hesitant. When it came out, it was huge. I loved that it was very crisp on the bottom and it was not overloaded with sauce. It didn't have the typical cheese that slides off the pizza when you order it. The owner, Chris, came to check on us to see how we liked it. I thought it was fantastic, but there are a limited number made during the evening so I think you have to get there early. My daughter and I shared the bang bang cauliflower and that was very tasty. There was a lot of it so we ended up taking some of that home. The other appetizer we had were the soul scallops. We all thought this was an amazing appetizer and I loved the combination with the cornbread. We each had a salad before dinner and I personally like the spring mix with tomatoes. It wasn't an overly large salad, but it was a salad was what is was supposed to be: a precursor to dinner. With the portion sizes of the appetizers and the food, we actually ended up taking some of the salad home. My son got the Italian Chicken and Waffles, which was huge. I was give a taste of that and while it was a combination that I did not think would work, it was very good and a creative recipe. My husband had the Surf and Turf Fricassee and he is still talking about that almost a week later. It was a very nice dish and his steak came out the way he asked. He is frequently disappointed when he goes out to eat in other restaurants and is disappointed by how often the steak is overcooked. I had the Alfredo Bay, which again, was a large portion that I ended up taking home and finishing the next day. I was worried that it was going to be a bit too spicy with the Old Bay, but I liked the combination of ingredients so I thought I would give it a try. You can taste the kick, but it wasn't overwhelming thankfully. When talking to the owner, he said that the only dessert they were out of was the Tiramisu (which is one of my favorite desserts). His mom personally makes it so it tends to sell out. Chris.....tell your mother to make more (just kidding). The staff that we interacted with were very personable and friendly. While this was a little over an hour from home, we will definitely be back the next time we are visiting our son!“

“Illiano's is by far the best restaurant in the valley. There's something for everyone on the menu. Order the sicilian marinara pizza...thick crust, fresh tomatoes, garlic and plenty of cheese. If you're not happy, it's on you. It's definitely not the food“

“Had dinner at Pasquale’s last night. I had Alaskan cod with lump crab meat, mashed potato and broccoli. My husband had lasagna and a side of meatballs. Everything was amazing! Don’t overlook this place if you are driving by! The bread is phenomenal! The soups are homemade just like mom used to make! Desserts were yummy! “The buns must have come right out of the oven when I placed my order for my primo sized American cold cut hoagie with lettuce, tomato,onion, and oil and vinegar. It was made with the bun being very warm and that it ruined the whole taste of my hoagie. It melted the cheese to a soggy texture like when a hoagie sits outside on a hot day. A cold cut doesn't mean warm bun. And I didn't ask for a baked hoagie. I was going to take it back in, but I was so pressed for time. But I just took it apart and ate what I liked or what tasted ok. When I did a review on my Primo app, they asked for the ticket number. I'm going to check my truck it might be in there. I believe it was last Monday evening, 7pm. I am not from the area, but I used to stop at the previous location on Rt 309 a lot it was convenient.“

“We had excellent dinners tonight at Cork! There are so many options to chose from on the menu. There's definitely something for everyone! My dinner came with sweet mashed potatoes and they were amazing! Our waiter Justin was also very attentive along with the rest of the staff. :)“

“My brother Jason and I are always exploring places we haven’t been yet. That comes to restaurants as well. A weekend in NEPA almost always included the amazing pizza options we are blessed from living in an immigrant community that started wayback when coal mining brought people from all over the world.
That said, our Italian community always shows up with all the different styles of pizza found here from Old Forge style, Pan fried Sicilian, New York style, thin crust, and bar pies and all the styles in between. As good as they all are, nothing is more comforting than the ultimate peasant food. A tray of red or a tray of white. Since we have been eating at Arcaro and Genell since we were kids, it only seemed fitting to finally give Arcaro’s the Next Generation a try. My apologies for waiting so long. The current owner Francine Arcaro had dreamed of opening her own restaurant. She has been chasing that dream since 2018 serving great pizza and Italian food. There is more to share with her personal story, but this isn’t the place. I just wanted to tell anyone in NEPA or those visiting, get over to Pittston Township and see how perfectly Old Forge pizza is represented at Arcaro’s the Next Generation. All the Old Forge type pizza places in our area all tweak there recipes by changing up the sauce, mixing the cheese bends and varying the crust. We tried a tray or red and white. Both were amazing. Trying to decided which tasted better is like picking a favorite child - impossible. Order both. Loved there red. Perfect ratio of crust, to sauce to cheese ratio. That creamy cheese blend was to die for. I won’t give away any secrets, but anybody in the know could narrow down that creamy cheese bland. We complimented our two trays of pizza with a cold beer on tap a s side of Stromboli (wink wink). Always love going home with leftovers. Two much for two brothers, but we sat there in this well lit, super friendly, well decorated place any truly enjoy a cut from heaven. Old Forge Pizza is a perfect NEPA tradition. Whether it is on Main in street in Old Forge proper or the surrounding towns. It is a treat that should be indulged in every weekend. Stop by today and eat-in or grab it to go and bring along to your favorite event! Highly recommend Arcaro’s the Next Generation. Can’t wait to try their gnocchi and other pastas on our next visit. Be a part of history and eat some Old Forge pizza today at 2 Bryden Street, basically at the corner of Oak Street and the Pittston ByPass.“
