“New Fern was excellent. The fried haddock was perfect. My wife had the seafood broil. Their Mac and cheese side is creamy, cheesy, deliciousness. Everything was outstanding. We were accepted on a Friday night without a reservation, but I do not recommend that on weekends. Call ahead to reserve a table. They filled up quickly after we were seated, and I overheard others without reservations being turned away, politely. I am so grateful they fit us in on such a busy night. The staff is friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about their offerings. We will be going back soon to try some other entries that sounded great. We did not have dessert but saw a bunch go by us. Omg! The slices of cake are huge, and I could smell the lovely aroma as they went by. I think one was an espresso cake. Man, did it smell good! This was unexpected for Muncy PA. This small town really has some good places to eat. New Fern is now in my top 2 in town.“
“The reviews brought me here.Walking in and viewing the menu I thought we had made a mistake.The server was very good, very helpful and personable.Then the food came out. Oooooh man. Oh man! My wife said it was the best gyro she had ever had. I had the fettuccine. So creamy, lots of sauce. Incredible. 9 and 10 out of 10 on the food from my wife and I. Ermagherd it was so tasty.The atmosphere threw us off, it didn't seem like it matched the rest of the experience is all.More please.“
“Stopped for breakfast during a road trip. Service was immediate and very friendly, the food (blueberry pancakes, chipped beef with gravy) was delicious and super affordable, and the atmosphere was exactly what you'd expect at a classic diner. Highly recommend this place!“

I have never been disappointed.Kid-friendliness: Our waitress was very accommodating.She checked back with us 3 times “just making sure to be everything is right”. “Ordered a breakfast platter - omelet was okay, potatoes were okay, and the toast was toast.Son ordered an enormous cheeseburger - must've been a pound of meat. It was cooked properly and served on appropriate bread - huge bun! He also ordered fries and they were what all fries are.The service was polite (not friendly, but certainly polite) and quick.The atmosphere is...........really dark. It's dark and dated and could be SO much more inviting with brighter walls and better-placed country decor.Also - do something about the placement of tables near the bathroom. Put a service station or something near there so people going in and out of the bathroom aren't encroaching on people who are sitting at the tables that look directly into the toilet facility.“
“A little smoky but it is a bar. The tables were far enough away from the smoke that you can enjoy yourself. The wings were very good, we had 6 sauces and all were good. The burger selection is nice and very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we will be back. Didn't have it yet but the stromboli looked amazing.“
“My BF and I drive by this place several times a week on our way to work. The mural on the front entrance has always caught my eye but until last night, we had never been there. I now see what wasted opportunities those drive-bys were! Friday night 8pm and the place was packed but we got a booth right away! The menu has something for everyone but is not overly complicated and they have off-menu specials nightly. We ordered the 16oz Delmonico and Parmesan Crusted Haddock as our entrees and had soup/salad starters. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The portion sizes were spot-on and the prices were very reasonable. The server was great and after we'd mentioned that it was our first time there, the owner/operator came out to greet us. Overall, a 5 star experience! We will definitely be returning!“
“Was a nice experience doing lunch here.I’m writing this comment because I want to apologize that I did something stupid that might ruin someone’s day…When we were paying, the girl who served us was gone for a second. I thought we done and there was no option to tip, so I put my tips in the bowl. But then the girl came back and I realized the payment was not finished yet. So when I signed, my friend told me to put 0 in the tips because we already did it by cash (but no one saw it T_T). I feel bad to do it even though I did tip… I hope the staff see this and knowing what happened and don’t be angry if you saw a 0, I didn’t mean to do it…“
“We have eaten at Basil multiple times and will continue to be loyal customers here! We love the food, cocktails, atmosphere, and staff! We have always had a great experience here and the pricing is more than reasonable! Honestly, you can’t go wrong ordering anything off the menu and I’m pretty sure we’ve tried just about everything!I recently had my baby shower at Basil in their private event room, catered by their staff. Everyone was on time, so helpful and professional. Brooke was quick and easy to communicate with and catered to my exact wants and needs for the baby shower. All guests were impressed with the location, service and amazing food! I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for an event, great brunch, or fun date night!“
