Three times I have tried this place and every time has been worse. The service is nonexistent or creepy. Today we sat there for half an hour and no one even acknowledged our existence. No drinks, no hello, nothing. We left. The last time the “owner” was walking around talking to people like a creepy drunk uncle. When we have had food from their limited menu it has been decent diner food but the service absolutely sucks.
it was the worst!!! we are first responders and use to get a discount that is not offered anymore!! the food was terrible.
Poor service, were seated for 20+ minutes till got drinks. Waited again to order our food. And waited another 20+ minutes , no food and complained to waitress she got ignorant , told us to leave if we didn’t want food. So we did and will never go again.

Dick's Diner is a beloved spot in Pittsburgh, known for its homemade food and excellent service. The stuffed cabbage and hot turkey sandwich are standout dishes. The friendly waitstaff are always thoughtful and kind. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, with thick, tasty bacon. The newly updated place looks brighter and inviting. The hot meatloaf is amazingly delicious, served with a great portion thickly sliced between two slices of bread, usually with mashed potatoes but also available with French fries, all smothered in homemade gravy. The waitstaff continuously checks on customers, refilling their beverages. The restaurant is very clean and neat. The pies, especially the coconut cream pie, are wonderful. While the pecan pie was not to the liking of some customers, the staff was kind in addressing the issue. The staff is pleasant and efficient, having orders ready for pickup.
