“Another Pennsylvania classic. Small place with big hospitality. There is no gambling of any kind, but you are allowed to smoke. Food is available. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries. Cheeseburger was cooked to the perfect point, brown and juicy. Fries were golden. The other patrons were welcoming also. Looking forward to visiting this location again.“

“My husband and I went to Almost Home last evening on the way home from Pittsburgh to Altoona. I love white pizza and let me tell you….the white pizza with bacon and onions is phenomenal! The crust was perfect, the cheese was outstanding and the toppings were abundant.“

“My group got fish and shrimp dinners as takeout for the fish fry season and they were absolutely fantastic. The portions were generous, pierogi were homemade, fish was crispy, and overall the food was simply excellent. The person in my group who went in to pick up our order also had a good customer service experience. An overall excellent stop for fish fry!“

“By far one of the best pizza's in the county. The service is FANTASTIC! The atmosphere is friendly and upbeat. A great place for small family gatherings. Low noise level so it's easy to converse over dinner. Pricing is fair and reasonable. Wide rage of cold beers and menu items always on stock. I also recommend trying a nice salad with Vince's house dressing which is very pleasing to the palate.“

“Not a bad place in a rural area tried their #10 cheesesteak omelet. Had a family breakfast here and it was delicious. It took awhile due to the large crowd we had so it was 1 hour and a half till our food came out. Service is wonderful. They also have a pool table. Pinball machine, claw machine, and Pacman.“

“First time here, and the food was good. The specials sounded great. Got the steak tips over mashed potatoes and noodles, and it's pretty good for a bar. The drink menu was also nice. It looked like they had a full bar, so you could order whatever mix drink you'd like. The only downside was when using the bathroom, there is no toilet stall door, and the main door doesn't lock, so if you gotta go number two, be ready to say hello to new friends. Other than that, this place is huge and could host a nice party, or dj, or live bands, a very cool atmosphere.“

“1st time and we will be going back. Needed a place to meet friends, and I like to find "locals" established places to find real food and avoid all the customers who fill chain restaurants. This is it. So Tuesday nights were Taco special and they are easy to eat, very good. They make their own "soft shell". Also tried their famous pizza. It deserves your trial, we really liked it. Specials on different nights. Their fresh cut fires excellent. Prices very fair. Read other reviews, look at the pics and plan on going to Clark Powell's! You will be rewarded for finding a local non chain restaurant.Vegetarian options: They will cook to your specifications and/or modify their regular items.Wheelchair accessibility: Sidewalk level roll in, all on that level, no steps.“

“Service is top notch. Beer battered Onion rings breaded cauliflower and hot pepper cheese balls cheese steak hot roast beef sandwich chicken tenders and fries and was totally blown away. Flavor was amazing and texture was on point roast beef gravy took me back to my childhood. If your ever in ST Micheal please please stop in and have the experience of a life time. If you have kids it is kid friendly“

“Nice place for lunch or dinner. They have a great selection of drinks and beers. Also, they have an extensive menu with a wide selection of different meals. I had the Stuffed Ham & Cheese Pretzel. The ambiance on the bar side is somewhat better than the restaurant side, but both were quite nice. I'll definitely be going there again when I get through the area.“
