They used to make great sub sandwiches in the store! The buns were baked in the back with fresh meats and greens gave you a packet of salad dressing for $6.99. Bought a prepackaged sub today, the bread was hard, the greens were wilted and no dressing for $7.99. I don't know whose brainchild it was to pre package when all the sub shops carry fresh bread and made to order. Giant Eagle better straighten up their act and go back to the old ways with Freshly made subs!
Giving 5 stars to make up for all the bad reviews, which I feel are undeserved. Probably would rate it 4 stars otherwise. The store is the only relatively high end grocery store in the area, and you can tell the staff focuses on keeping their standards high. As a corporate store, there are always some bad experiences, but the staff seem happy to rectify the situation. Their prices are not any higher than anyone else's and atleast the points for gas and groceries help to off the prices and the employees are always friendly and helpful. The store is clean and I think they did a very good job during Covid.
