was at nicks tonight. kudos to the cooks. our meals were really good.
The only thing that was disappointing was our waitress. she was sitting at the bar with a customer and we were looking for her to serve us some more drinks. service used to be tip top.
we will come back for the food, not so much the service.
Awesome crab cakes, loved the sweet potato wedges.

Based on the reviews, Nick's 114 Cafe is a solid little hometown bar/bistro with an unassuming exterior but a nice inside. The atmosphere is great, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, with wonderful service. The food is awesome and spectacular, with reasonable prices. Highly recommended meals include the crab cake tacos, fish sandwich w/ chips, lobster roll sandwich, bacon wrapped scallops, and the mother's day salmon special. The onion soup was outstanding, and the chef's salad was HUGE and very fresh. The crabcakes are considered the BEST. The food is ready in good time, though for take out, it is usually necessary to go and place the order in person as they don't always answer the phone when busy. Nick's 114 Cafe is a great place to eat and well worth the visit.
