“We stopped by Hot Pies during a road trip through PA. I can’t emphasize enough how great this place was! Local pizzeria with fantastic pricing, and the foods to die for. I ordered a cheesesteak with mushrooms and onions, and no exaggeration it was one of the best cheesesteaks I’ve ever eaten in my life, and I eat a lot of cheesesteaks. My girlfriend got two slices of pizza (Sausage & Pepperoni) & the employee ensured to ask if she wanted a middle or corner slice - the slices were great too.

Food is 10/10, people are friendly and it’s clear the community loves this local spot. If you’re coming through the area I’d highly recommend stopping.”

“Amazing breakfasts. Omelets are great, I usually get, I think it's called a breakfast bowl. Home fries, eggs, sausage and cheese all cooked together. Speaking of home fries, these are the best around and second place isn't even close. Slow cooked on the griddle I could make a meal out of them alone.
As far as there being no wifi, there is very good cellular service there. Use your phone as a Hotspot, it's 2026 man! Sounds like somebody just wanted Starbucks and wanted to trash the small town feel.”

“I can honestly say, I don’t think I’ve ever had a better fried haddock sandwich, a better drink, or better service than today. The food was amazing (this sandwich was massive! It filled both Adam and I!), and the bartender (Jared) was not only super friendly and social, but he also gave amazing recommendations on drinks, and was super attentive and overall one of the best bartenders I’ve ever been around! I will definitely be returning to Green Gables again.”

“I walked over from the truck stop to get a slice of pizza, because I'd had their food a couple years ago when I was passing through. The food was as delicious as I'd remembered. I ordered 2 slices of pizza and a salad to eat there. Then.. I ordered food to go as well. The pizza was the best I'd had in over 20 years, the salad was fresh, the house dressing was to die for. (I asked for the recipe but that was a hard no.) So I ordered a salad to go so I could get more dressing. The waitress was perfect. OMG... The cheese cake is 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ as well. I'll definitely be back. “Went in on a Saturday morning. Was greeted and sat as soon as I walked thru the entryway. Was a little busy, but my my drink order was taken right away and brought back. My food was served hot fresh and quickly. Even tho the waitress was the only one there and was busy, she was still able to check on me and make sure I had my coffee refilled and asked if I wanted or needed anything else. Felt very welcomed! Would definitely go back! Thank you!”

“So many McD's are a hot mess now with awful service and long wait times. I'm happy to report that wasnt the case here. Ordered via the app, went to the bathroom, came out and food was ready, about 4 minutes, terrific! Plenty of seating and dining area and bathrooms were clean. Only issues was no sauces in bags or boxes nuggets. This seems to be the case at every mcdonalds now. Always check order and always do counter pickup to ensure this issues get quickly resolved.”

“Went in for breakfast today with my partner. It was small, cute and definitely a small town vibe. Food took extra time but it was well worth the wait and the staff was so kind. “Mates and I went after a full day at a local event. There was only one bartender, but she absolutely nailed it! She was also the cook, but was both attentive and quick. Everyone was taken care of, everyone left happy and full. We got the chicken parm and pretzels. The bourbon was great, the beer cheese even better. Definitely going to be our annual spot!”

“My husband and I had lunch there on March 19. The food was fantastic. I had a Ceaser salad with chicken that was HUGE. Real grilled chicken, fresh romaine, lots of shredded parm on top and a small loaf of fresh warm bread that was included. Absolutely delicious. Enough for two meals. Hubby got wings that were jumbo and actually got 12 and not 10 like some other places. Crispy and not too hot. We got a pizza to go and that was great as well. Highly recommend.”

“An unexpected hidden treat this place was. We got lucky when the place we had planned to go to was closed. After a quick Google search, we found Hilltop and was very pleased with the food and service. The long drive there was worth it.

The prices beat any fast food joint, even with all the add-ons to this giant burger. My husband ordered a cheese steak and couldn't stop raving about it. The only thing I regret is not taking pictures of this huge burger which I was not able to finish, but happy that I got to enjoy the rest the next day.
