“I went with family for Easter dinner. Reservations only. There were 15 in our group. When we arrived we were seated immediately, table was ready, no waiting. Limited menu for Easter. All entrees included baked potato & salad. I chose broiled scallops for my entrees. A dozen jumbo scallops cooked to perfection. I had to take half home. Service was outstanding. Restaurant was packed, even with the reservation only policy service was great. Food terrific.“

“During Lent Season, we frequent Big Mike's Crabhouse on a Friday, typically late afternoon. We try to beat the crowd, as this restaurant is not that big, but the seafood is absolutely delicious! Service is always excellent!!!! Big Mike's is a very relaxed atmosphere! They are a BYOB, so you can bring your favorite adult beverages if you choose to do so!!! If you choose to have an entree, but do not wish to have the sides, they will adjust the price! I love their cod fish (2 pieces), but don't always want the French fries, etc., they will serve you just the fish and adjust your bill accordingly. The pound of shrimp is always cooked to perfection, we have our shrimp served with melted butter and cocktail sauce, so delicious!!! If you're in Hanover and love seafood, stop by!!!!“

“Always great! Biggest crabs, well seasoned, delicious. The shrimp macaroni salad is so good!!! The fried chicken is crispy and tender. The take home and cook crab cakes are MD proud! I love the food here and the people who run it. Thanks for always making my summer party the most delicious!!!“

Coming from south of the Mason-Dixon line in my thirties it was the one thing that I missed Old Bay blue crabs from the Eastern Shore. Now living here and being adopted as a Pennsylvania and almost 28 years agoI found a few decent seafood places. However, I don't think any compare and have as good a taste as Crab Shack! Plus they were my first Saving Grace for crabs. As well been making them taste great for the last 25 years! this is a family-run business and both wife Lori who runs the snowball end of the business and her husband the crabs are wonderful hard-working people and always a pleasure to deal with. over the last 10 yearsif you were a regular customer you even seen the son and daughter putting time in helping their parents at the business. They always seem to find great young peopleto maintain the business in the evenings at the snowball stand. Always busy kicking out snowballs, cones, an ice cream sundaes to customers lined across the parking lot quickly,courteously, while always wearing a smile and being friendly. The staff or usually alwayswonderful promising young peoplethat are primed to be the potential of our communityand is wonderful as the small business owners who employed in here! kudos to a wonderful establishment. “We had them cater our wedding. The food was delicious, service was amazing (such friendly people), there was plenty of food for all our guests plus more, our guests even said how good the food was! We got the pulled pork, beef, macaroni and cheese, green beans, and a salad. The price was even in our budget!! I highly recommend them!!!“

“We wanted to try a new place for breakfast and we selected the 81 Diner. It's been remodeled and under new ownership. I felt justified to leave 4-Stars but I'm leaving 5-Stars and the reason is that some slight changes could eventually be made. New Owners are working hard to establish and build up business. First, the inside is very nicely decorated and extremely clean Parking is perfect with plenty of spaces The dining staff were working fast and efficient, younger folks with very friendly and positive attitudes. Overall the Staff was Outstanding ! We only seen the Breakfast Menu, it was well planned and very easy to look over and make your selections. I was a little taken back at the cost of the Steak & Eggs, the Country Fried Steak and Ham Steak, both with Eggs as well, compared to other diners, it seems a little costly. The food arrived freshly cooked and hot, which is nice and we ordered the sliced fried potatoes, these need to be improved, no flavor, adding just a pinch of seasoning would take this many steps up. I had the Pancakes, Eggs and Sausage which were standard breakfast food. Deb had the French Toast, Eggs and Bacon, same standard breakfast food. This indeed is a nice little diner, I would bet they will continue improving as each day goes by. We will give them a try for lunch one day“

“Our food was delicious! I ate everything, and I got the Ultimate feast and added an extra lobster tail and grilled scallops. I always choose the Hanover location as the York location isn't as nice. My server sucked this time, but maybe he was having an off day. It took about 20 minutes for him to appear so I could ask for the bill. He forgot my appetizer. Oh, well. It's still my son's favorite place.Kid-friendliness: This is my son's favorite restaurant. He is a seafood lover. I remember loving it, too.“

“We stopped here on a whim with our daughter and niece. Great cocktail and beer menu, with signature martinis and interesting choices on tap. Nice variety of options on food menu, including plenty of non-seafood options. Maryland and cream of crab soups both very good. Salads also nice and fresh (and we loved the super chunky blue cheese dressing). Salmon Monte Carlo was a very large filet cooked perfectly and covered with a tasty sauce. Shrimp scampi was plentiful with nicely cooked shrimp. Crab legs were well steamed. Stuffed mushrooms were good, but not great. Bread and biscuits were yummy. Service was excellent and we thought prices were appropriate and not as expensive as we've seen at other restaurants. We are from out of town and only have Red Lobster back home, so this was a great (and far superior) alternative! Good restaurant all around.
