They were always consistently seasoned well....that was not the case yesterday. This dozen was completely dried out...they were either VERY overcooked or my guess is they were re-cooked. Definitely not worth $95....please retrain your steaming team or you will lose business. i will be going elsewhere.“

“Visited Riley’s Oyster House this past weekend with a local friend while visiting from Miami Beach, and I have to say I was really impressed with the atmosphere, the food, and especially the service.

Our server, Aallyah, was spectacular. Even though the restaurant was very busy, she was attentive, friendly, and made excellent recommendations throughout our visit. She took great care of us and really enhanced the overall experience.

We started with the whitefish dip, which was excellent. I also had a bowl of the cream crab soup and a shrimp salad wrap, both of which were delicious. To top it off, we enjoyed a Big Truck Topless Blonde draft, which paired perfectly with the meal.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in town. My only hope is that the service is as good as what we received from Aallyah. She set a very high bar. Highly recommend Riley’s Oyster House!“

“Tried lunch at their Timonium location. Was a little difficult to find. Closer to come in off of Padonia Rd instead of York Rd. It is in the race. track upper deck. The restaurant is a decent size but was extremely cold inside. You can watch races on the multiple tvs and even gamble, if you like.
The wait time was nonexistent. We are immediately seated . A waitress appeared. Ordered an iced tea, garden salad and a Seafood Chesapeake sandwich ( which consisted of a crab cake and shrimp salad on wheat bread). Food came quickly. Everything was tasty. Crab cake was a little soft for broiled for my liking. Shrimp salad was average.
Would try this restaurant again during warmer weather.“

“Ordered off of their catering menu for my wife's birthday. I purchased the Margharita Seafood Special with shrimp, scallops and lump crabmeat in a rose' cream sauce and it was excellent! The homemade meatballs jad everybody raving and their sausage, onions and peppers in marinara sauce was also great. Thankfully we had some left overs that we are still enjoying. Lastly was their Greek salad, very fresh and loaded with feta cheese. I definitely recommend these folks for your next lunch or dinner or when you need an event catered. “We went to dinner here this evening with a large party of 10. While we enjoyed our food and our server was great our overall experience was not 🤦🏼‍♀️. I don’t know if we just had an evening of bad luck or what. First after sitting there a bit a VERY large picture fell off of the wall directly onto me and my 18 month old daughter, then there was a gnat in our drink, and my dad walked outside and a piece of shingle fell off and hit him in the head. Like, I seriously couldn’t make this up. 🤣 like I said food was good and so was our waiter but I feel like a little more could have been done after the picture situation. A cupcake and free drink didn’t really cut it. Had it just fallen on me I wouldn’t have been so upset but the fact that it fell on my daughter made my soul leave my body. We will give it another shot at some point and chock tonight up to the full moon or something just be careful where you sit your kiddos.“

“My husband and I have dined at Basta Pasta on numerous occasions, preferring to sit at the bar, and have never been disappointed. The service at the bar is excellent and the food is delicious. You get a lot of bang for your buck with the salad and breadsticks with the meal too. Drinks are always well made and we are never left waiting long for refills or food. The entire staff are always top-notch and on top of everything, professional, hardworking, and polite. We appreciate this local restaurant and will continue to frequent it. I honestly don’t even know where to start because this place completely blew me away. You can instantly tell there’s a whole new energy since the new owners took over. Everything from the food to the vibe to the service feels refreshed, upgraded, and done with real passion.

First off, the menu is INSANE in the best way possible. You can tell the new owners came in and said, “Let’s really do this right.” The flavors are bold, fresh, and straight-up addictive. The sliders are absolutely unreal perfectly seasoned, juicy, and packed with flavor in every bite. And don’t even get me started on the beef burger chopped cheese… WOW. It’s hands down one of the best I’ve had. Cooked perfectly, loaded with flavor, and made exactly how a chopped cheese should b comfort food at its finest.

Everything tasted fresh, hot, and made with care. Not rushed. Not sloppy. Just quality food done right.

Now let’s talk about the service because that’s just as important. Sam, the new manager, is AWESOME. Super welcoming, respectful, and genuinely cares about customers. You can tell he takes pride in the place and wants everyone to leave happy. That kind of leadership really shows, and it makes the whole experience even better.

The atmosphere is clean, welcoming, and has a great vibe overall. You feel good supporting a place that actually cares about what they’re serving and the people they’re serving it to.

If you’re thinking about trying this spot DO IT. If you’ve been here before under the old ownership, come back ASAP because this is a whole different level now. New ownership, crazy good new menu items, better quality, better service. everything is upgraded.

“I've been wanting to try this place for a while and the hype is true. I ordered the Crab Tray in the Old Bay flavor and it did not disappoint! The crab legs were huge, and the meat melted in my mouth and the potatoes sopped up the butter old bay juices.. Everything was tasty. I'll definitely go back and try to Crab Shrimp tray. You will get your money's worth for sure.“

Each month there may be a 5 or 6 course meal: each is a different theme and different food/drink/wine pairing. The service is always good and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Omar is the manager who typically hosts the dinner and describes each portion of the meal and makes the evening engaging and entertaining. Coming here once a month is my tradition with my girlfriend for the wine and dinner themed meals. Sometimes they have bourbon or other spirits. The staff are always friendly and accommodating which makes the experience even more enjoyable. For the month of May the theme was based on movie night more specifically on the work of Francis Ford Coppola a filmmaker. One of the leading figures of the New Hollywood, Coppola is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential filmmakers in the history of cinema. He also has a successful wine business. The meal featured his wines and we got an apron with his name on it. The 4 course meal featured creamy tarragon shrump bruschetta, linguine sostanza with grilled chicken, Tuscan grilled fillet with crab scampi and for dessert… a yummy chocolate walnut brownie with ice cream. Everything was delicious and of course you have the option to order anything off the menu to go for an additional 10 bucks. See you at the next one!!! June 2026 will feature 2 dinners!“
