“We were passing through New Stanton, and had dinner at La Tavola. We sat at the bar, and had incredible service from Sandy, the bartender. The food was incredible. We had the artichoke appetizer, a Caesar salad, and the Veal Picatta and the special, which was a Swordfish with lump crabmeat. Also, the Crème Brûlée. All was incredible, and Chef Lou came out and chatted with us. A very special gem of a restaurant, which we would highly recommend!!“

“Enjoyed a travel stop for dinner with a party of 10. Service was great. The food quality and taste were way above an average restaurant of the niche. The salad bar was fresh. We never had an empty glass, and the service was extremely smooth. Our table was large, and our server met the task.“

“We have been ordering the Bone Fire every time we visit Smokey Bones. It became one of our favorites. We've NEVER have a bad experience. The wait staff is great and this time was no exception. “Ive been a regular at the first Filling Station and 9W Market since Stavros and his beautiful wife first opened. They were busy from day 1 and even in the winter months it was a go to spot for great food and friendly service. I have since moved away but still tell all my NJ friends about the Market and Filling Station. I always got a hug and felt appreciated. They cared and had a wonderful manager in Charlie. I hope they don't franchise or license. Owners who care hire staff that cares.“

“We went into the taproom where there was a really nice bartender. They had a good selection of beers on tap and one dollar bags of popcorn. Nice place to stop in for a quick drink before heading home. Wooden tables, pool table, burlap sacks from hops or malt adorn the ceiling and walls of the taproom giving it a rustic vibe. We could hear the band from the stage area so it was a great place to sit and talk without having to shout at each other. Also a location on the 2024 Pour Tour!“

“I've been going to Valozzi's for years, so I know the drill with pricing. But $50+ for a crab cake w a few asparagus spears is high in Chicago, let alone Greensburg. There weren't many entre options under $40. The $14 calamari appetized was way too salty (I have a very high tolerance for salt, so...)- we mentioned this but didn't get much empathy/feedback. The wine by the glass options were disappointing- not expending them to crack a new bottle of Caymus for 2 glasses, but washing down that $55 crab cake with wine from a $15 retail bottle is disappointing. The best value here has always been the pizza- but we were looking for a nice dinner out to sit down and explore some interesting main courses. The place was fairly empty, but we were seated at a small table against the wall (route 30 was immediately behind the wall outside that table leaned against) despite having reservations. Our waiter was nice, and I'm sure we should have complained more/asked to move/asked for the inedible calamari to be taken off our bill. But I didn't have the energy on a Fri. night so I guess shame on me. Unfortunately, we probably won't be back- spending over $150 with one of us having pizza (+2 glasses of sub-par wine) is not the best choice. Sadly, there aren't many good choices left if you are looking to avoid the big box, processed food choices like Olive Garden and Red Lobster in this area.“

“Made a same day reservation for dinner before a show at the Palace Theatre. Arrived at 5.30 and seated in small quaint front dining room that was quickly filling with other theatre goers. The poor waitress was running ragged as apparently 2 members of staff had called off. The lady bar tender also helped out where she could. Ordered pork sliders and the crab cakes both were excellent, especially the crab cakes though it came with a seafood risotto that was rather basic (just one large shrimp) but still tasty all the same. Love the charm, character and ambience of the place. Briefly explored the other rooms to see that there were were other dining areas, including an outdoor patio area that I would certainly consider dining alfresco on warm pleasant evenings. The eclectic artwork adorning the walls (including in the bathroom) is for sale. Kudos to our waitress (and the bar tender) for her service being so busy with other patrons. Sorry didn't know her name as we didn't ask for a copy of the check when paying by tablet as we didn't want to trouble the the staff for a printed copy of the bill. My one only slight gripe was some of the bench seating was hard and rather uncomfortable. (A little padding would go a long way!) Any way Major Stokes is now going to be my go to place when going to an occasional show or concert in Greensburg due to its close proximity to the Palace Theatre.“

When travelling, we prefer to stay off the beaten path. The Headkeeper has now been added to our list of great finds.They provide a great patio bar and seating. After a friendly greeting amd options, we chose to sit inside.Our server, Sarah, was totally on point. Based on our tastes, she assisted in our selections of some 600 beers. Not a beer lover...Try a Jameson Orange cocktail, Dark n Stormy, or other ?The food was top notch. Flash Fried Calamari, Sautéed Forest Mushrooms, French Onion Crostini, and Cauliflower. Portions can work for a table of 4. My husband ordered the Margherita pizza and it came with powdered cheese all over instead of the traditional style. The menu didn't indicate this. Also when we visited there were no vegetable sides which seemed odd.“

“Always very nice employees at this location. I did ask for no pink, and as usual, it had pink. This seems to be a company wide issue. I was told they cook the burgers based upon a timer, but maybe they need to adjust it a little longer or turn up the temp. I was very hungry and just ate it, and it did taste good. Next time, I will ask for well done. I do wish they still had the jalapeños coins as an app, we always ordered them. Overall, it's still very good.“

“This is a super nice restaraunt nestled right on the main drag in downtown Mt. Pleasant. They have a bar area and they also have areas that are more quiet dining areas. The restaraunt itself has an upperclass feel: thinking about service, environment, and food. It's very kid friendly as well.I had pepperoni pizza and my wife had wedding soup with a salad. We were both very pleased with our meals and we highly suggest trying these items from the menu!I'm one of those people that checks everybody's food out as the servers walk by and everything I saw looked very good.These guys know how to do Italian food right!We both had a couple of adult beverages (which they have a nice, classy selection of drinks) with our food and our bill was about $60 for the 2 of us.This is a great place to visit if you're just stopping in town (about a 10 minute drive from New Stanton), want to have a nice dinner with your spouse, or take the family and kids out for dinner.“
