This beautiful tavern in an old mansion features a very nice interior and a good mix of younger and middle-aged guests. The staff is excellent—present, genuine, and helpful. Food is better than average for a tavern, with generous servings and great presentation. Guests enjoy the cheese curds, chili, and fish and chips, which are done to perfection and served hot. It’s a great spot for date night or catching up with friends over drinks and food. While some find the prices a little high, the great ambiance makes it worth it. Guests love coming back for lunch or dinner after events at the expo center. However, some have noted that certain dishes, like the taco salad, could use improvement in flavor and freshness. Overall, the landscaping is gorgeous, and the silverware and dishes are excellent, making for a pleasant dining experience.
