Very slow service
The food was incredible! Have tried a lot of indian restaurants throughout US but the food was truly so tasty and well made. Great atmosphere too! Would highly recommend!!

I recently dined at hbk Norristown and it was an exceptional experience. The Indian cuisine was truly outstanding—each dish was a delightful explosion of authentic flavors and spices. The paneer tikka was perfectly grilled, and the biryani was rich and aromatic

I recently hosted my son’s 2nd birthday party at the HBK Banquet Hall. While the size of the hall was perfect for our 115 guests, and the fully vegetarian menu was excellent in taste, the service was a significant letdown.
Before the party started, I specifically requested that the mirrors be cleaned, but this was completely overlooked. Even during the party, I had to remind the staff to clean the mirrors, which was frustrating and disrupted the flow of the event.
Throughout the event, I also had to repeatedly ask the staff to refill the food, which led to long buffet lines. I was embarrassed when I found out my guests had to keep asking for refills. It was frustrating that the staff seemed reluctant to help, often making faces when we requested assistance.
There was only one small black basket provided for used plates, and no one was assigned to clear the tables. I certainly couldn’t ask my guests to dispose of their plates after eating. This lack of attention to basic service was never communicated to us beforehand. Had I known about these shortcomings, I would have reconsidered booking the banquet hall. At one point during the party, I even called the owner of the restaurant to discuss these issues, and only then did someone come to clear the plates from the tables. Unfortunately, during this call, I missed the cake cutting of my nephew, who shares the same birthday as my son.
One of the most disappointing aspects was the lack of dedicated waitstaff for our party. In my experience, most venues provide at least 1-2 waiters specifically for private events to ensure everything runs smoothly. Unfortunately, here, the same staff who were managing the restaurant orders were also responsible for our party, which clearly impacted the quality of service.
Additionally, the placement of the soup was so obscure that many of our guests didn’t even realize it was part of the menu. It was a missed opportunity for what could have been a more enjoyable experience for everyone.
While the food was excellent, the poor service left me deeply disappointed, and I would have to think twice before recommending this place for a party event. I’m giving 2 stars purely for the quality of the food, but if I could, I would rate the service even lower. The poor service overshadowed what should have been a special celebration.

After some trial and error, we found a palatable place to try biriyani. Their chicken lolipop as well is above and beyond.

Very bad experience… we went for a buffet on a Sunday afternoon and the food was terrible. Limited option for a buffet. Chicken tandoori was dry and cold, Manchurian was stinky, chicken biryani had no chicken, ice cream was liquidy… overall bad experience

Ordered Chicken platter, Veg Manchurian , Chicken & Mutton Mandi. Chicken platter was very well cooked. Rice in Mandi was very flavorful , meat had right amount of spices. Portion of rice and meat in Mutton Mandi was comparatively lesser than Chicken Mandi.

I placed a to go order on fish briyani it has just white rice and fish pieces in it .. literally just basmati rice and fish pieces. Next time when i visited the hotel i told them the same. But he was like you should have called on the same day about the issue. I told him sir it was 9:30/10pm by that time the shop is closed. He was like next time call on the same day and ignored my issue totally . The worst behaviour by the staff at hotel. This not how you treat the customers, you dont have to give my next briyani for free atleast say sorry and be sorry for the mistake .. minimum courtesy

Had the Chicken Tikka Marsala medium spice level with garlic naan. I can’t express enough how tasty this dish was. I will be coming back the next Tuesday time I’m in this area.

I have visited this establishment several times, and Biryani is the only dish that is satisfactory. My recent experience was the worst. Although Biryani is typically the fastest dish to prepare, it was still not ready even 40 minutes after we were ready to check out. The restaurant had an event in the banquet hall and was unable to manage service either there or in the main restaurant dining area and no communication about it until I forced them to cancel the order. I do not understand why they offer services they are not equipped to handle.

We love this restaurant and have tried almost all other Indian restaurants in the area. None can compare as well to this restaurant, especially with the taste and quality of the food. The Hyderabadi Mutton Fry biryani is outstanding and worth the trip every time!
We recently tried two thalis - the fish and the mutton. Both are very well priced for the amount and quality of food received. Delicious food!
