“I have been ordering from Ray's for over twenty years, from way back when they were located on Pennsylvania Ave. The service is always great and the order is always ready on time. Some of my favorites over the years are the cheessteak stromboli, sausage rolls, steak sandwiches and of course the famous pizza! The food is always tasty and freshly made! “Absolutely sensational cheesesteak from Davinci’s Pizzeria in Whitehall. The meat was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The house sliced Cooper Cheese 🧀 was generously applied, as well as perfectly fried onions. The sandwich came together in Harmony on a seeded Liscio's Bakery submarine roll. You may have it toasted, which I believe is their standard or untoasted. I asked for an untoasted roll, and it was fresh as can be. Janis, who runs the show here, was an absolute delight! She answered a few questions I had with integrity and a smile. We talked about Allentown’s 6th Ward and we know some of the same people. She provided me a sample of their house made fries and house dipping sauce. The dipping sauce recipe wasn’t divulged, and for good reason! The fries are cut similar to a Frito Scoop, which is great for the dipping sauce! The cheesesteak was well above average, in my opinion. This steak is in the discussion for me with the elite shops in the area. The top photo is fresh at the shop. Bottom photo is after is was wrapped and brought home. I highly recommend Davinci’s.
