“BIG SURPRISE how good this place was. It's similar to the Seasons 52 concept (including the individual mini desserts in small glasses). Fresh and seasonal menu items, nearly all of which are heart healthy choices but still very good. We were a large party and our server, Lexi, was fantastic. Friendly and efficient. Reasonable prices. Nice atmosphere. Elevated casual. Definitely the best restaurant experience we had in Moosic. Highly recommend.“

“We arrived a bit late with not much time left before closing. Service was prompt without being rushed, the food was delightful. I was particularly impressed with the onion soup, tasty not salty, with gobs of delicious cheese. Chicken Parm hero was well made and most enjoyable. We'll definitely go back again and again.“

“I was nearby visiting my wife in the hospital, and I remember seeing some young man wearing a Chicanos t-shirt near my house which is about 1.5 hours away.
So I decided to go by and get a couple of items to go and eat them when I got home.
By the time I got home it was really late, but I decided to taste everything anyway and it was absolutely fantastic!
Much better tasting than I was expecting and they were very generous with everything and their portions.
I got the pork posole, which came with a couple of bean tostadas! To my excitement and surprise! And the Posole?
Was both chicken and pork cooked into the stew, but here you have to choose whether you want to have pork or chicken. So this is something I was not used to and I thought I was going to be disappointed.
Having chosen pork, when I rewarmed it the next morning I was unbelievably surprised at how fantastic this was, easily some of the best posole I've had in a decade!
A carne asada burrito, which came with chips and salsa.
And I remember thinking to myself when I picked up the burritos oh my gosh this thing is really a big burrito! I haven't seen a real size burrito since I left the West Coast in 2010! ? The taste was absolutely fantastic and it even had grilled jalapenos in it which just kicked the flavor up another notch!
Not to be not to sound arrogant, but this Salsa was so good, it was like if I made it myself, super fresh! ?
I have to say my favorite thing was the chorizo tacos!
Anyone that grew up with real Mexican chorizo and knows what they're exactly it's supposed to taste like and these tacos absolutely did!!
Chicano's, Let me know if you guys sell your t-shirts, cuz I would absolutely and gladly wear one all over! I need a size XL! ?

“We had one evening in Scranton, and I was the one grabbing sweets for our groups dietary restrictions. I called Donna and asked if she would be able to accommodate. She went above and beyond! The GF-Vegan Cupcakes I ordered were waiting in a box for me, and she was so patient since we came right at closing time. Her flavors were DIVINE! The love and care that went in to our treats was something special! I love pretty food, but what a win when the food tastes better than it looks! Thank you Donna! Everyone, not just the dietary folks, were in love with your food! If we are in the Scranton area again, we’ll be sure to order again!!“

“What a wonderful experience. I was looking for a local diner to grab a quick lunch while on a work trip. I couldn’t have made a better choice. The service is impeccable. Food came out swiftly and perfect. The staff were friendly and very informative. All of the desserts are handmade in house. If you get a chance to try the lemon lush, you’ll wish you had a bigger stomach. I had the Porketta Brioche. I’ve never had Porketta but Margaret informed me of what it was and assured me I was getting a great meal. She wasn’t wrong. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town. My dinner also came with a soup and I chose the Italian wedding and it tasted better than mine! My husband had the Joseph's double stuffed crust pizza with pepperoni added on top and we've had other double stuffed crust white pizzas before and this one is at the top of the list! “AV is my family's favorite restaurant. They have a variety of different options on their menu, from homemade pastas, to fresh seafood, to decadent fresh salads. The ingredients and pairings are absolutely out of this world, and are comparable to a NYC level of presentation and taste.
The service is impeccable. From the moment you walk through the door, you are greeted with warm & smiling faces. The servers are very thorough, extremely welcoming, and make you feel like you belong. They are very knowledgeable about the menus, and are happy to give great suggestions.
To say that AV Restaurant is the best restaurant in Scranton isn't even scratching the surface of just how fabulous of an establishment it truly is. If I could give 10 stars I would. You must give this place a try!!!!“

“Wow! Menu..Service..Food... Wow!

I am passing through town and saw the Viewpoint Diner on my way to the hotel. After looking it up and calling to confirm that breakfast was served all day, I headed over for dinner. As the host walked me to my booth, I saw the specials board and amazing looking meals in front of multiple patrons, and my breakfast for dinner plans went out the window. The menu is more than that of any old diner. It was a broad, colorful menu with professional pictures of most of the meals. I was immediately greeted by my waitress & her trainee but needed more time with the expansive menu. I ended up selecting Stuffed Shrimp (crab) and veggies and salad. I should have taken pictures, but I was too excited. Everything tasted as amazing as it looked, and the portions were hearty. The waitstaff was attentive and friendly. The whole experience was such a pleasant surprise! I wish I was going to be in town long enough to go back and try the breakfast.

The atmosphere was great. The exterior was well lit with awnings displaying their menu categories, the interior clean and inviting. It seemed like at least a few of the other tables were local regulars, which I consider a great thing.

My only suggestion would be that they round out their profile on Google to include the menu to help others find them. I didn't find what I was looking for there and took a gamble and won this time. 😉

Everything was over cooked. Had a BLT sandwich with chips. Bacon was hard and burnt. Coffee was burnt and onion rings were also burnt. First bad experience in almost 20 years.
