12 Steps Down is a top-notch Philly dive bar with a fun and open space. The clientele is great, and most of the staff are dope, although a few bartenders can be grumpy. The bar offers cheap drinks, including interesting ciders, and a $6 cheeseburger that is a greasy treat. The rotating tap list is impressive, and the kitchen is open late. However, the atmosphere can get rowdy and chaotic, especially after 9 pm. The 12 steps leading down to the entrance add a quirky touch, but the smelly bathrooms may be a downside. Overall, 12 Steps Down is a cool place for a quick drink, with fun events and great deals on eats, as long as you don't mind a bustling and lively environment.
