Best crew, great atmosphere. I love you guys always! Perfect night for a drink, pool, music, dancing - all in the heart of South Philly. 🤞🏼 10/10 ❤️
Nice little place to have a few beers with friends. 😁👍
Was so easy to get a seat this past Sunday afternoon, hardly anyone there! It’s always a good time to pop in when it’s quiet. The service felt a little slow to start but it picked up. Love this corner for a relaxed drink.

12 Steps Down is a popular Philly dive bar known for its fun and open space. The clientele is great, and while most of the staff are friendly, a few bartenders can be grumpy. The bar offers cheap drinks, including interesting ciders and a $6 cheeseburger that is a greasy treat, although some have found it cooked more than expected. The rotating tap list is impressive, featuring a variety of beers like Schneider & Son and Aventinus. The kitchen is open late, and the atmosphere can get rowdy and chaotic after 9 pm, making it a lively spot for those looking for fun. The 12 steps leading down to the entrance add a quirky touch, and the bar often hosts popular events like music trivia night and karaoke. The staff is mostly efficient, and the pool table contributes to the entertainment. The bar also has great deals on eats, with chicken wings and fries served with garlic ranch being quite good. While some may find the bathrooms smelly, overall, 12 Steps Down is a cool place for a quick drink and a good time, especially for groups of friends. It’s conveniently located right by the Italian Market, making it an ideal stop, especially when waiting for food from nearby places like Angelo’s pizzeria.
