The coffee is fine, but the staff act like they’re crafting some sacred elixir. Ask a basic question and you get talked down to like you’re bothering them.
Poor communication doesn’t help either — they closed early before the holiday, kicked everyone out, and gave zero warning or signage. Merely serviceable coffee paired with that attitude just isn’t worth the hassle.
Bye!

Alchemy Coffee is a gem in Philly! The coffee here is really good, and the baristas are super friendly. I visited during the summer, and after some time inside, it felt freezing (probably an American thing I am just not used to) but that didn’t take away from the experience. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for great coffee and a welcoming vibe.

Cozy coffee shop w differentkind of seating, delicious espresso, coded bath and free wifi. I hope is open after hours
This is a solid pass - rude workers and more importantly the product is sub-par compared to other cafes around.

great coffee, great study spot but very busy. it is very hard to get a table, but the tables are spaced well enough to have two people sitting and working. almost everyone there is working. it's on the louder side, but if you have headphones, it is good.

I paid exactly $10 for a small Americano & hard apple cake. Was not a fan of the Americano at all nor the service. This cafe layout is a headache

Special shoutout to the staff and owner Chris! I visited Philly for a business trip and needed a place to do some work and take a few calls before an event. The space is very peaceful and minimalist which i didn’t appreciate until I got settled. Was able to lock in and focus pretty easily. WiFi was great and had access to outlets for power.
I absolutely loved that all of their syrups were house made. It’s a small but important touch imo and really reflects commitment to quality. I really enjoyed my pumpkin seasonal latte. It wasn’t too sweet and had great flavor.
If you are in the area or visiting for a quick trip and need a good place to go to pass time I definitely recommend this spot! I’m so glad i found it and will be back for sure next time I’m here.
Thanks Chris and team for your kindness and welcoming spirit today! Hope to see you all again soon.

Amazing coffee and amazing service. I could tell they take their craft seriously by having in house syrups. The coffee was smooth and had the tasting notes I was looking for. Met a local there named by Mr McGovern. He was a blast to speak with as well.

Went in for a latte. They gave me a leaking cup. Ruined my cup holder. Now my day is ruined. They will never see me again
