I was in Lancaster PA for a Coffee conference and decided to stop in Philly for some cheesesteaks on the way home and had to stop here. By far the best Philly Cheesesteak I’ve ever had to date. I’ve also tried a lot of the Tristate areas best pizza spots and the pizza I got was one of the best I’ve had in recent memory. The quality of the ingredients they used was fantastic as well. I unfortunately didn’t get a picture of the cheesesteak because I ate it so fast due to how good it was, but it will not disappoint.

I am not from Philly, so I could only go based on recommendations. This place was one of the most mentioned, one for the bread and two for the flavor of the Philly cheesesteak.I was not a fan of the pizza. It lacked flavor, but I did venture out and try something different (The Pietro), just wasn't for my. taste. The Philly cheesesteak got a little better but still lacked flavor, in my opinion. However, the sharp cheddar is a nice touch. I even brought a Philly back home to share, and no one was really feeling it.In my personal opinion, the bread is too tough. I don't want to fight through the bite, I want a smooth chew. You lose meat from the sides while gnawing through the Philly. Might be a northern thing ?, not sure.

This place is a definite must-visit! I went all in with the pizza and cheesesteak, and while the cheesesteak didn't quite steal the show for me, the pizza totally rocked my taste buds into another dimension! Seriously, it was pizza perfection—so good, it deserves a 9.2 on the deliciousness scale!

There was once a time where, every time I was in Philly, I would get cheesesteaks at one of the famous spots. The one's everyone know about. Time and time again friends of mine have said "those aren't the places to get a good cheesesteak". We'll eventally I went searching on my own. Found some on par, some better, some equal. Have some that far surpass the well known ones. Well Angello's was reccomended by a local. And WOW! THEE best cheesesteak I have ever had in my life. Nothing comes close. Will return every time. For the win, Angelo's.

10000% lived up to its name and rep!Amazing cheesesteak. The bread was fantastic and the coppers sharp cheddar just made it all better. If you’re not from Philly. Go inside and order don’t stand outside. You pay when it’s ready and expect to wait 30-45 mins if it’s busy, but it’s 100% worth the wait.Easily best cheesesteak I’ve ever had.

They make extremely good pizza, probably the best in Philadelphia. The dough has good flavor and chewiness and the sauce is a perfect balance of flavors. This place only takes cash (which I hate) and they will close for the day when they run out of dough. It is always a gamble when you call if they will be open or not on a particular day. However, in spite of those things, I keep going back because the pizza is that great.

Angelos has great food! Highlight is they bake their bread fresh daily and have awesome cheesesteaks, subs, and pizza.**Be aware if you go: Takeout only, Cash Only, There will be a wait (even if you arrive right when they open). Order at the counter, wait outside until your name is called.Next time I go I want to try the cutlet sandwich, meatball sub and the pizza.

They were super busy when we went but the food came out right on time, they were absolutely flying through the orders. All the crew working there were super friendly and helpful, and food was AMAZING. The nice lady at the counter told us to get the cooper sharp steak with fried onions and it was genuinely one of the best things I've eaten in my entire life. Their pizza is also fantastic.

Insanely great Pizza and Cheesesteak Sandwich. Blows any Pizza Place in Montreal out of the water by a longshot.First time I've had a real cheesesteak Sandwich as well and it felt good to start at the top.

Most overrated cheesesteak I’ve ever had in my life. No idea why this place is rated so highly. Nothing had any flavor. I drowned my sandwich in ketchup just to taste SOMEthing. Definitely not worth the $20 or the 40 minute wait.

I was in Philly for Wrestlemania and on the search for the best cheesesteak places. When I asked Philly natives, they recommended Angelo’s. When I ordered, the cashier told me exactly how I should get it as a first timer, and it was perfect! I got mine with Cooper sharp cheese and grilled onions. The meat was well seasoned and bread was toasted perfectly. If you’re in Philly, you definitely need to come here for cheesesteaks!

The real Angelo was in there when I visited. He was yelling at people and commanding traffic. It was perfect.
