The pistachio croissant is really something special! The people are warm, friendly to kids, and the atmosphere makes for a very pleasant morning stop. A neighborhood gem for sure.
Despite the untimely passing of the great Andre, who was the co-owner with his wife, this pastry and cafe' has not lost any quality. Its beignets, chocolate almond pastry and sausage, egg and cheese croissants are absolutely divine. Andre's wife very wisely hired a old neighborhood guy, Thomas, as the front man. The server was kind and let me finish eating my pork belly banh mi. The bread had a nice crunch. I think the fresh veggies complimented the oily pork belly. I wish there was more sauce on the banh mi, it was pretty faint.
