Brown Street, friendly staff, good food made to order. Zane, the owner is well connected and supports many other small Black businesses.
Cheesesteaks rolls are delicious, Fried fish on the weekends are excellent, and the kicker is Salmon cake Sunday.
And you are sure to hear the associate Cook yelling FRIIIIED FISH.
This was a wonderful stop on our last day in Philly! The breakfast was the best we’ve had on our trip (even better than we could’ve made at home) and the coffee was incredible (10/10, I’ll definitely be ordering some online). The prices were surprisingly low for how good everything was. Add in the friendliest service, and you’ve got a hidden gem we’ll absolutely visit again next time we’re in the area.

Brown Street Cafe is a hidden gem located inside a ShopRite. It is known for its fantastic breakfast, especially the breakfast sandwich. The coffee is incredible, fantastic, and great, with a latte made expeditiously. The service is the friendliest and super friendly, creating a wonderful sense of community. The prices are surprisingly low for the quality. It is a wonderful stop and a highly recommended spot that makes visitors feel right at home, ensuring they will absolutely visit again.
