“Loved dropping in here on a Saturday. Very relaxed vibes walking in here, perfect for a relaxed meet up, coffee or quick bite. My wife and I ordered the Ume Plum Tea, Vietnamese Latte, Khang’s Special Banh Mi, Crispy Tofu Banh Mi, and Doenjang Butter Fries. The Ume Plum Tea is so unique, and their Vietnamese Latte is the best I’ve had. Their food portions are big, and will definitely leave you full. Highly recommend this place!“

“I lived in Seattle for almost two decades and will admit to being a bit of a coffee shop snob. The Nook hits so many of my high points. Extremely good locally roasted coffee (in-house!). Amazing baked goods. The cocoa coffee bread must be tried, but leave me a slice! Great staff. If I ever move out of the neighborhood, I'll journey to the Nook for a great cup and bite.“

“Had the Spring Fling coffee today, IT WAS INCREDIBLE! Never have I had coffee like this. It was robust but mild, with hints of lavender, thyme and pink peppercorns. Absolutely a must have for those that go regularly. I live in NJ so sadly I won’t be here often and I’m sad about that.“

“As a coffee aficionado, I had high hopes going into this place. I had heard the name vibrant passed around throughout Philly coffee scenes and I finally found the time to go. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere, right off the bat, was great. The decor, layout, furniture — all great. Unfortunately, ascetics are only half the battle. I ordered and waited. From the first sip of a rich and flavorful espresso, I was hooked. It came in these adorable little cups with a Demi-spoon (always a good touch), and it was clear the baristas knew what they were doing. My cappuccino was also stupendous — expertly steamed, a good coffee milk ratio, and some nice latte art on top. This display of quality and care for the craft made me giddy. Giddy enough to buy a “blueberry broughnut,” or a brioche bun doughnut. It was great. Highly recommend. Staff was also super friendly and helpful. 5/5 stars.“

“Their coffee and chai lattes are great! Their pastries are really good too. Every time I come here, I have some sort of issue though lol. I don't know if they whisper your name when your drink is called or if they just don't say it at all, but they will literally leave your latte just sitting on the counter and never bother to tell you that it is there. Also, God help you if you try to get someone's attention. I feel like trying to make eye contact with the barista is some sort of social faux pas that I am not aware of. Let me know if I should use telepathy in the future.“

“Stopped by here to grab a quick coffee on my way to a meeting. They had a bunch of fall drink specials, all of which sounded amazing, but I picked the coffee cake latte (vanilla and brown sugar). I got mine as 16 oz iced. The lovely barista asked if I wanted some cinnamon on top, to which I said of course! It was SO good. I’m always worried that something like this will be too sweet and/or too milky, but this was neither. Absolute perfection. I’ll be back tomorrow!“

“I'm in town on business and needed a good coffee shop. After searching around the hotel I'm staying at, I found that Black Turtle Coffee had great reviews. Even though there were only a few comments, it still looked amazing. Both the ambiance and the coffee selection were impressive. When I walked in, I encountered an extremely friendly staff and spoke to one of the co-owners. The drink that I ordered was a cold brew with sugar-free caramel and a cold foam topped with black sea salt, called the Zeppelin Cold Brew. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in town, heading off of Walnut onto 18th, and grabbing a coffee. The atmosphere is semi-industrial, with bar-top seating that overlooks the sidewalk so you can people-watch if you like, or an upstairs area with a few tables.“
