Honestly, I stopped by Federal Donuts as a "must try" while visiting Philadelphia... kind of expecting it to be overrated in that regard... but I actually really loved my donuts and did find it to be a few notches above a lot of other donuts / donut places I have enjoyed over the years. The server was nice and knowledgeable about the menu options. I got a breakfast chicken sandwich which was okay all I could taste was the spice. The donut was really good not too sweet.
