“I tried the salta here — and it was great — but the lamb Fahsa? Oh my god. Absolutely incredible. Perfectly seasoned, rich, and so filling. The bread portion was exactly what it should be: generous enough to fully enjoy the dish the way it’s meant to be eaten.

As a non-Yemeni Middle Easterner, this was my first real experience with Yemeni food, and I was blown away. I was so impressed that I later tried a Fahsa at another Yemeni spot just to compare — and it wasn’t even close to what I had here.

The atmosphere here is phenomenal, but not in the overdone, “look at our décor” kind of way. They don’t rely on flashy visuals or gimmicks — you walk in, order your food, sit down, and the focus is entirely on the food and the experience. That’s how you know a place is truly good.

The service was also top-notch — friendly, attentive, and genuine. You really can’t get any better than that.

“They had a special deal going on all day today, and I Got a free chicken gyro. I live close by and i had been thinking of trying it out ever since it opened up and finally went today since it was free, and have to say I was impressed. It was delicious and well prepared. Quick service and like I said, free, lol so couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you guys that were out there working & preparing food for free all day! “The smoothies here are so good! Fresh, flavorful, and not overly sweet like some places. They were super refreshing, perfect texture, and didn’t taste artificial at all. You can tell they use quality ingredients.

“We found Nafi Food Express truck in Philly at 34th and Market 8 years ago when my son was craving Indian food after a very long and scary hospitalization at CHOP for RSV. We've loved it ever since! The meat is tender and tasty, the salad is spectacular and the owner is very nice and personable. Most importantly to us, the cart is clean and the owner is proud of his history of cleanliness. No seating so that was the only reason for a low atmosphere score.

Positive ambience as soon as we walk in, our server ‘s name ELIF ( hope i remember it right)guided as through with menu selection and showed the best costumer service . “Over the past few years there has been a big influx of Uzbek resteraunts in Northeast Philly. Barakat keeps their menu short and simple and because of this they are able to maintain high quality. I've been here twice and both times they exceeded my expectations. They have one of the best shawarma wraps in all of Philadelphia, it's made fresh off the spick and they fill up a wrap with lots of meat. I also love their samsa and their soups are also very popular. If you are coming here for the first time I recommend getting the Lavash Wrap (Shawarma) and the Samsa, you will not be disappointed.“

“This was my first visit after morning service. The truck is clean and the service good. I was able to wait in my car while my meal was prepared. Great presentation of the meal items and the flavor and seasonings great! I was pleasantly surprised!“

“I visited the truck during my lunch break to pick up lunch for me and my mother. We both got the chicken over rice with the salad. The man in the truck was very nice and personable. The person in front of me ordered six plates, and he served them promptly. When it was my turn order, he greeted me warmly and served the food fairly quickly. The food is delicious and the portions are great, the meal comes with a drink as well. it's a plentiful serving because I only ate half for dinner and had the other half the next day for lunch and it was just as delicious. I think overall, you can't beat the delectable taste with the price. 10/10“

I pulled up around 8:30pm which is just a half hour until they close and had no issue getting served. I got the lamb over rice and it was absolutely amazing. The white sauce is soooooo good. The man running the place seemed like a nice guy too. I'm not one to take the time to write a review, but this food was so good that I felt it necessary to leave one. “Visiting family in Philly and wanted to try a halal Philly Cheesesteak. Had some In The Uk with varied quality. Saad’s is way way ahead. Big, juicy, very very tasty. Reasonably priced, staff are lovely. Place is set up like a diner and kept very very clean. We are here a few times during our trip, tried others but had to come back. Eat j. And takeaway service is good. My recommendations. Cheesesteak with mushrooms, kofta hoagie. Had a chat with Saad, nice guy. Looked after us.“
