La Bamba Reviews
We love this place. The food is NOT STANDARD.
However, are most recent visit left us wanting more. When I spend $38 for a really great scallop dish with only 2 scallops I am really annoyed. The prices have gone up, but 2 scallops is a little skimpy.
Both food and Service were great regardless.

This place is just INCREDIBLE. You must go. Best burritos, best guac, best everything, and amazing vibe too.
The owner is very cool and a bit quirky. It's truly a one man show— imagine you are at your distant cousin's house and he happens to be an incredible chef.

Hands down the best burrito I’ve ever had. We ordered the brisket burrito, margarita, and flan. The burrito was incredible, the brisket was amazing; the tortilla was clearly homemade and the best tortilla I’ve ever had. The salsa was delicious and very unique. The atmosphere inside was so eclectic, cozy, and homey. The owner was so kind to us and unfortunately we found out that we were here on their closing night! Wish we could’ve come back!

La Bamba in Philly is a hidden gem that offers an eclectic cozy atmosphere and a welcoming owner, Michael. This small restaurant is a neighborhood joint where calling ahead is recommended. They only accept cash and have a 1 entree and 1 drink minimum per customer. The food is delicious and made with love. The house mango juice and sangria are served in generous portions, and the free chips and salsa are deliciously spicy. The peach margarita comes in a 32-ounce container and is both delicious and punchy. The steak burrito and brisket burrito are huge and flavorful, made with house-made tortillas that are fresh and tasty. The customizable mango guava drink is also available with the option to add cuervo. The interior is decorated eclectically, creating a fun and comfortable vibe, and there is a cozy back patio to enjoy. With Michael's incredible hospitality and amazing food, La Bamba is a great choice for a memorable dining experience in Philly. This restaurant should be on every Mexican food fan's list to visit.
