My Loup is an absolute gem in Philadelphia. The atmosphere and overall vibe were spot on - chic and inviting. From the moment we arrived, the staff was outstanding : attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. The menu was quite creative and the combinations of flavor really stood out! One of the chefs, Sage, even came out to speak to us and walk us through the entire menu. That personal touch made the evening feel more special. My Loup is more than a meal, it's an experience for sure! We can't wait to go back.

Maybe it was an off night but nothing really went right for us when I took my gf here for here bday. Paid not attention to the Resy info. Made a bigger deal than it should have been accommodating my allergies - fun fish and nuts. Chicken was literally raw / uncooked. Server rushed us the entire time. Dessert flan wasn’t set and tasted of fermented Greek yogurt. Didn’t do anything for bday. Menu was underwhelming, I get it I can’t eat fin fish…so we get a quail and a (raw) chicken?? And here’s your check for $400 thanks bye. lol naw we good: mid food and mid service with price tag. I genuinely wish I had just gone to 5 Guys instead. There was just no effort really. Seafood tower was good - will give credit to the oysters for that.

As good as everyone says and then some. I moaned so loudly after eating the soft shell crab, the couple seated at the table next to me started laughing

Food is great. Atmosphere is cozy. Service is unacceptable. After spending $600 on a table of 3 our waitress told us we ”better be chugging” our drinks to make room for other patrons less than 10 minutes after getting the bill. Completely rude and unprofessional. Will not return.

Excellent food, arrogant staff and service.

I was so excited to get a reservation here to celebrate my partners birthday. We ordered drinks and participated in the tasting menu. The menu is creative, with excellent quality, and made for a very memorable meal. The staff tarnished our night by starting to rush us through the second half of our dinner. Coffee and aperitif were not offered with our dessert, and as soon as I signed the check for a $400 bill, the host came over and said “I don’t mean to rush you but we are waiting on this table”. The other tables that were seated at the same time as us and also participating in the tasting menu did not get this messaging. It seemed we were the youngest clients and not quite of VIP status, despite showing up on time for our reservation, and paying for the tasting menu and drinks. The greediness of the management really soured our night. Can’t say I would recommend My Loup when there are so many other restaurant teams in philly that are just as creative and still know how to hold a standard of service compatible with the menu offering.

One of my favourite restaurants. Be warned though you may walk out with a food coma.
The entrees of sea urchin and pickled shrimp with garlic aioli were AMAZING.
Next up came some kind of croquettes that blew my mind away, in fact they were so good they made the also delicious escargot “roll” and layered potatoes disappear
Following that we received our “mid-dish” the broccoli and cheese clam dip, along with a deep fried crab. Now both were good but the deep fried crab was just something out of this earth. At this point we were already full, but only then came the most loaded, delicious, tender and juicy roasted lamb dish I have ever eaten in my life. Just that dish alone would have had me satisfied. To finish it off however, we recived a “lightly salty” chocolate cake that was delicious and some sort of taste with a soft- airy vanilla ice cream, which was also good but just not quite on par with that chocolate cake. All in all for 125$P.P the menu had portion sizes as big as any other full order, and gave me enough calories for a good three days. An experience never to forget

So disappointing. Everything has the same flavor profile and wasn’t good. Asparagus tasted like it was covered in butter and mustard and cheese? So odd and not worth the price tag. Drinks and bread I would come back for.

Easily our favorite dining experience in Philly so far. Food was fabulous, service was on point, fun and personal. We will absolutely be back, and telling people we like to go have a wonderful evening here. ❤️

We were very grateful that despite us making a snafu with our reservations, they were able to accommodate us! Thank You! Thank you!

The ambience was NOT hoity-toity. It was a nice casually relaxed lit Zen ambience. The staff attentively ebbed and flowed seemingly effortlessly throughout the space to their patrons. Never have I ever thought I would be enjoying cuisine while various tunes jammed soft in the background such as Indeep’s “Last Night a DJ Saved My Life“

We took on the Let Us Cook.

The bread came out, loved the sponginess, great crust; spectacular with their butter and those butter pickle chips! The next course was The pickled shrimp with aioli and a bit of basil on those saltine crackers; alongside an ample seafood tray. Everything super fresh! Each individual item on the seafood tray was good. The mussels creation abit too much vinegar? Maybe they wanted to fight with the pickled shrimp? We just cleansed our palettes between each item with our bread. Try some of that horseradish on your raw oysters! Can I say how I desperately wanted to crook my pinky finger sophisticated while demurely sipping my adorable little Bloody Mary shot with the cornichon pickle? The MOST MEMORABLE was the sea urchin! THIS was our favorite! From this point on, whenever I think of sea urchin, this creamy delicacy will pop into mind!

Our next course, several plates: a chilled dish of thinly sliced roast pork with bits of slivered crunchy celery a sprinkle of capers and a side of hot fries…devoured. A crab crueller. The mini clams casino with broccoli… delish(how the broccoli seemed a concentrated intensity without overwhelming the clams casino? Yes I noticed...I enjoyed that!)

Next course: braised rabbit with preserved summer tomatoes with a side of rice. If the food runner didn’t tell me that these little mini tomatoes were preserved, I would have mistaken them for fresh!

The rabbit was tender(not gamey). Each little tomato I took in were like warm bursts of sunshine making me yearn for summer!

Phew! Our server presented the dessert menu. We went for the citrus trifle and the chocolate cake. The citrus trifle was intense lemon-orange olive oil cake..it came for your tastebuds! The chocolate cake DON’T YOU DARE UNDERESTIMATE!! For ME It was the sophisticated rico-suave enigma…I was very pleasantly shocked! This is not your cliche chocolate cake. You a chocolate cake fan? Journey here and get this!

We waddled off super full of food and great memories! Advice…if you partake My Loup’s LET US COOK, do not eat anything prior(skip your lunch, perhaps have a nibble for breakfast.)

The food was great, but the food can’t carry itself! The most AWESOME SERVICE EVER! It is the pinnacle of what a team service should be! From the host and managers to the food runners the bartenders! You wanna know how to have servers run a restaurant proper go to My Loup and check it out!

This humble patron thanks you! Y’all go here!

my pictures will not do the food any justice.

PS: a week later was still talking about the food.

Food was outstanding, as were the cocktails. Waitress was kind of curt, didn’t really add much to our experience.

It was fine. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes, but there are far better restaurants in Philly…Friday Saturday Sunday and Vernick Food for two. I have no idea how this is called the one of the best in the nation by Eater and NYT
