“When they first opened I often ordered the Spicy Beef Brisket Rice Noodle, and it was great. Stewing beef brisket to make it tender takes a long time and I absolutely love it when it is done right, but unfortunately that is not the case at most Chinese restaurants. Those early impressions did not last, however, and before long the beef brisket here became tough just like that at most other Chinese restaurants.

Then I made the mistake of ordering Thai Style Spicy Chicken Rice Noodle one day. The portion of chicken was good, except that it was in such large pieces that one of them looked like it was half a chicken breast. Far from being a good cook, even I would never use such a large piece of anything when making noodle soup.

“This Mari Mari is inside H Mart z it can be overwhelming with a big crowd . This is my first time trying Mari and they did not disappoint. “Definitely the best Pho joint in Philly. This is one of the Pho 75 mini-chain restaurants starting in DC & Northern VA area (7 corners). Solid broth, chewy noodles and loads of different cut of meats. Add-on prices are also reasonable ($2.5 for meatballs as an example). Service is just meh... but you don't come here for service....“

“Mana Modern Chinese was a wonderful dining experience. The atmosphere is clean, modern, and inviting with warm tones that make the space feel comfortable right away. Service was prompt and attentive throughout the meal.

Every dish we tried had incredible flavor—especially the Crispy Chicken Dumplings, Chili Kissed Burrata, Pork Chop Fried Rice, and the Sha-rry Beef Udon. The biggest surprise of the night was the Egg Custard Carrot with Ice Cream, which was the sweet ending we didn’t realize we needed.

Overall, a fantastic meal with great flavors and a welcoming vibe. Definitely worth a visit!“

“Ordered Shiso for delivery on Saturday night after reading some glowing reviews online and it did not disappoint - will be my new go-to for sushi takeout. Got the Chef's choice sushi and tuna/aji sushi and every piece was amazing and so fresh. Also got the spicy tuna crispy rice (don't have a photo) but would skip this next time, it just doesn't travel well. Can't wait to try Shiso in person!“

“I ordered the fish fillet in garlic sauce thinking it would be sautéed like the chicken in garlic sauce, and it came fried. Due to a medical issue, I can’t eat fried food. When I told our server my situation, she very kindly offered to remake the dish sautéed for no extra charge. It came out so quickly and was absolutely delicious. I really appreciated the accommodation. I will definitely be returning!“

“I recently went to Thailand this year and wanted to find a local Philly Thai food spot because I missed it so much. This place did not disappoint!!!!! I am SO excited to go back again. The service was great! The staff was so sweet. The food was incredible!! The menu has a great variety of things so there is something yummy for everyone and it’s BYOB. As someone who’s been vegan for years, I can’t begin to explain how rare it is to find a Vietnamese restaurant that serves truly vegan pho (not just veggies tossed into a beef broth). Viet Bistro 2 makes their vegetable broth from scratch, and it is SO flavorful!

Just the other week, I was dealing with significant GI upset. None of the over-the-counter or prescription meds I tried made a difference. But one warm, comforting bowl of their Vegetarian Pho? Total game-changer. It soothed my stomach, and I was finally able to get a good night’s rest.

My partner ordered the steak and beef pho and loved it just as much. I can also vouch for their tofu rolls! So whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or a meat-eater, Viet Bistro 2 has something delicious for you.

“Had a fantastic time here with a large group of work colleagues. The space is well designed—singers can clearly see the lyrics on the large screens, and the layout makes it easy for everyone else to watch and enjoy. The bartenders were incredibly fast, and drink prices were very reasonable“

“Wow! Delightfully surprised by this place. I didn't expect much, but the food was delicious with excellent flavor and texture. The bowl was big enough that I got lunch and dinner from it, and I truthfully thought it was even better the second time! “The Pho was delicious 😋 the portions are huge - we struggled to finish our meal. Service was nice... A bit slow but I guess they were full and busy that day! It's a smallish place and a bit crowded to sit but that's how most delicious Pho places are! Would definitely go back.
There is a paid parking lot just next to this place so parking was relatively easy.“

“Okay so the thing is when I went to the actual location and dined in everything 11/10 from service to food. Like I’ve been thinking about it since I went and i decided to order delivery today and am so sad will only be dining in for future. Ordered at 1pm my driver was on his way at 1:08?? General tso chicken was tender, great portion, white meat but I think from the steam in the packaging the chicken got soggy and the sauce got loose, like really loose. Wonton noodle soup was packaged very well with noodle dumpling and veg separate from broth, and their dumplings are so good I think they are shrimp - but the broth was not seasoned like it was when I dined in, just bland. Lastly I’m sad to say I won’t even try the spring rolls because they look like they’ve been sitting out for a while but I’m sure they are tasty I just cant get over that they look super crunchy in a bad way. “Cheap! This is a noodle factory, and you can see the staff making noodles in the back. They have a few prepared selections that they will heat up for you, including tasty BBQ pork buns. Most of the single serving options they have are about $2. You can also buy homemade Chinese desserts and pounds of fresh noodles.“

“Great wonton noodle soup house. Quintessential Chinatown experience. Wonton Soup still pre-Covid priced at $7.50/bowl. Extras inflated the cost but brought me back to lunches and its friends and family. Served with hot tea and appetizer plate of roast pork,duck, and crispy pork belly. Fed four of us at $80 with tip. Come in for a regular meal in Chinatown. No fancy experience but good home cooked meal.“

The stir-fried shrimp with noodles was delicious, and the fruit topped it off perfectly. I enjoyed every bite. Valencia took great care of me and even called me by name, which meant a lot. She also made sure I was comfortable with how my food was packed.

The food is better than some other places here. The only thing I don't really like is the atmosphere with the loitering and begging, which makes me not want to stop sometimes. “Leslie, Was the associate that served me and greeted me at the register I cannot say enough on how polite she is how helpful she is, and just the all-around beautiful person and soul and was so very helpful and really turned my day around after having a horrible month to just have a small conversation with me when the dining room was emptied out and she had just a few minutes to spare. “Small menu but everything we got was good. Bright interior and friendly service. The restaurant was nearly empty when we went for dim sum. Lots of items on the menu were out of stock but we enjoyed what we ordered. Cucumber salad and chili oil wontons were stand outs. Soup dumplings were solid but one had broken in cooking. Karaage chicken was bright and crunchy. Boa buns were super tender. Would recommend as a great dim sum option in Rittenhouse.“

“A very homey and authentic Chinese restaurant! Trust me on this because I’ve been eating here since I was in Kindergarten(I’m a college student now!) If I were to count how many times I’ve been here it’ll definitely be way over 100 times. They’ve basically watched me grow up throughout the decade. It got to the point where the owners know my order the moment they see me(Large wonton bowl or small wonton bowl with peanut butter noodles). It does help if you can speak Chinese so you can communicate easily with the staff member, but the food here is definitely the one thing I come here for because it makes me feel at home. The food is so cheap here too! The most I’ve spent here was $14 because I ordered 3 different dishes.“
