Paffuto Reviews
Paffuto is one of those neighborhood spots that immediately feels like a local favorite. The line out the door and packed dining room told us everything we needed to know before we even ordered. We tried the bacon, egg, and cheese panzerotti, and it absolutely lived up to the hype—crispy on the outside, loaded with fluffy eggs and melty Cooper Sharp cheese, and packed with flavor in every bite.

If you love calzones you will love this place! The Panzerotti will blow you away! It’s fried, but it’s thinner and lighter on your stomach than a traditional calzone! Super tasty, the fillings of the breakfast Panzerotti especially made my day as an introduction to Paffutos menu!

Paffuto is a charming Italian restaurant located in the Italian Market area of South Philly. The cozy dining room has a retro Italian cafe vibe, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The menu features a variety of traditional Italian dishes, including maritozzi and panzerotti, made with fresh ingredients and served hot. The Panzerotti is described as salty, hot, and cheesy, with a light and airy texture. Guests can enjoy the Panuozzo, a folded pizza sandwich filled with provolone béchamel sauce, Porchetta, and broccoli rabe. The restaurant is praised for its excellent food, soothing ambiance, and friendly service. Diners have enjoyed the breakfast sandwiches, which are simple and effective, and the inventive dinner tasting menu, perfect for a date night or small group. The chicken cutlet has been described as out of this world, while the pepperoni panzerotti is a delicious mini version of a calzone, fried to perfection. For dessert, the maritozzi offers a light and airy pastry experience, reminiscent of authentic Italian treats from Rome. The staff is noted for being friendly and welcoming, further enhancing the overall experience.
