We came to Porcini with a group of 8 to celebrate a birthday. When I first called the restaurant to reserve a table, the owner (David) answered the phone and was incredibly friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. When we arrived at the restaurant, David greeted us like we were old friends and made sure we were well taken care of.The restaurant is small, and the space and atmosphere felt very cozy, like having a meal at a family friend's house. Our server was also very friendly and the food was delicious. David also was kind enough to dim the lights and bring out a dessert/candle while everyone sang happy birthday for my friend. The whole experience felt very warm and personal, and we're very grateful for David and his team for such a wonderful evening.

Terrible food. Terrible management. Over priced garbage. Management refused to allow cooks to have a life outside of work.

My wife and I visited Porcini for the first time last evening and had a phenomenal meal and experience. The bruschetta with funghi and caprese starters were delicious, and our mains (rigatoni with sausage in pomodoro sauce and veal picatta) were simply lights out, as was the cannoli that we shared and devoured. The restaurant was packed and tight, but that honestly added to our enjoyment and made it feel like dining with new family. Our waitress was attentive and very pleasant, and the owners were incredibly down to earth and friendly and are the type of guys I’d grab a beer with any day. I highly recommend Porcini if you’re in the mood for great food, friendly people, and an all-around fun time. Thanks guys, keep crushing it!

David never seems to fail when it comes to a complete dining experience. We always dine at Porcini when we visit Philadelphia, and we are never disappointed. We have learned to follow his suggestions on menu choices, and look forward to our next trip to the city.

Porcini is an intimate Italian BYOB. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The food is amazing and authentic. There were about 25 years in between our visits which tells you all you need to know. We plan to return much sooner!

Visited the BYOB Porcini for a 2024 valentine's day dinner. For sure had a solid time, and I think the average rating on Google nails this restaurant at around 4-4.3 stars. From the service, to decor, to food, everything was good and fun, but not especially remarkable or stand out (frankly more salt may be needed in all dishes.) Likely wouldn't come back unless friends wanted to try it out.

A great dining experience at Porcini! We had the Veal Tartufo Porcini and the Lamb Ragu Linguine for entrees and they were both spectacular! The staff was very attentive and David the owner was always around to make sure our experience wonderful...which it was of course! A must return for another dining experience!

This is the best Italian restaurant in Philadelphia. If you want authentic Italian food, this is the place. The dishes are light and sophisticated, the service is very personable and warm and the ambiance is uplifting.Dietary restrictions: Adjustments can be made per request

honestly the food was pretty good i won’t lie. except my boyfriends pasta portion was so tiny it was confusing. the reason i will never return here is the atmosphere. the service was terrible and you could hear the managers conversation in the kitchen, he was cursing left and right it was so uncomfortable. for the price it just wasn’t worth it

Restaurant week, shrimp appetizer, shrimp over cooked tasted like they've been in freezer way to long. Main course was pork loin again over cooked and not very good quality meat though apricot sauce was tasty. Dessert was best part of meal. Overall nothing more than diner food. Considering they were busy service was adequate.

Cozy Italian restaurant with a neighborhood feel. We were seated in the table by the window and could enjoy inside and out. Staff makes you feel like a regular. Restaurant menu featured Italian specialties. Looking forward to another visit.

Porcini is the perfect place for an authentic Italian dining experience! My partner took me here for my Birthday dinner and I was truly amazed. The food is absolutely delicious. I knew this was the real thing because they didn’t skimp on flavor while also feeling light in my stomach. I feel so thankful to how accommodating they were with our meals. My partner is lactose intolerant and they were able to take out the cheese in the dishes we shared or put them on the side so I could enjoy the dish in its full glory! Overall, David and his staff are truly the stars because they don’t hesitate to make you feel like their own family! So much love for this homey restaurant and we’re already planning our trip back ?

Excellent food and personalized service. The owner/chef went out of his way to add some greens to my steak carpaccio, which was excellent. A very warm and friendly atmosphere in this 8-10 table gem.
